“I meant the chocolate truffles for dessert, not more sex. Not that there’s anything wrong with sex.”
“Damn right there’s nothing wrong. Everything is in full working order.” He pressed his body fully against hers and she realised he was absolutely right.
Full working order. Ready to go. How fantastic.
“How about I help you out with this,” she said, waving the condom packet again, “and you help me eat the truffles.”
“Absolutely. Great minds think alike and all that.” He rolled to one side and got rid of his boxers, letting her take the lead.
She tore open the foil and rolled the condom down his erection in one smooth movement. If her hands were shaking, he didn’t seem to notice.
She worked her hand up and down, until he groaned so loud he probably woke the whole building. She didn’t mind. Hell, she’d wrap herself in that sound forever if she could. He pressed himself down over her body and her thighs just parted for him. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she clung to his shoulders. Then he nudged her entrance and plunged straight inside her.
She cried out, loving the feel of him so deep, his head on her shoulder, kissing her there.
“Good?” he asked, beginning to move.
“So good.”
“You know, I meant it. The poem.”
It took her a second to realise what he was talking about, as he thrust deep. Today’s poem, the note on the pillow. The way he was pressing that perfect spot inside her, making her body sing, it was kind of distracting. In the best possible way.
He nibbled her earlobe, making her shudder. “Stay with me. Forever, or as long as you’ll have me.”
Her heart bubbled over with happiness. This sexy man, so sweet. For whatever reason, he wanted her. Then he swivelled his hips, grinding down on her, and she nearly came undone. She’d never known any pleasure like it. He already knew her body so well. He seemed to know her, yet they’d only been together a few short hours.
She didn’t want to over-think this. Playing it safe hadn’t worked out in the past. Jumping head first into adventure and pleasure might be the way to go from now on.
“Yes.” That breathy voice of hers was back. Probably for good.
“Yes, you’re going to come, or yes, you’ll stay with me?” He bore down on her again, sending small shards of sparkling joy zipping through her core.
“Both! Yes!”
Everything tightened, focused on the place where they were joined. Her climax rolled through her in hot waves, so intense it stole her words. Tears prickled behind her eyes, but he was there, kissing her, deep and slow, still rocking into her, making her gasp her pleasure again and again. She loved it. She loved him.
Then his movements became more ragged, more uncontrolled and she loved that too. The way he was lost in the moment with her.
When he cried out, she thought her heart would explode. Just one word, her name. The most beautiful sound she’d heard from his lips. He collapsed on top of her, nuzzling into her neck.
She stroked her hands down his back, enjoying the strong musculature and smoothness. All that manliness. All hers.
After a couple of minutes of quiet, listening to the sound of his steady breathing, inhaling his spicy male scent, she had to say something. “Thanks, Samuel.”
“For what?”
“For being patient with me last night.”
He rose up above her, supporting himself on his arms. “You’re thanking me? Thank you for going out with me. For giving me a shot. For staying in with me too.”
Grinning at each other like the crazy fools they probably were, she realised one thing. They still had an awful lot of truffles to get through.
She bit her lip, a naughty idea forming. “So, about the truffles. Are they kind of a package deal with you?”
“Mmmm. Absolutely.” He kissed her throat.
“You sure know how to treat a girl.”
