EPILOGUE

CALLUM

FIFTEEN YEARS LATER

“Collin! Ye canna use your sword like tha’.” Lachlan called out, and Collin sighed, “But I like the way it feels.”

Lachlan shook his head, “Ye may like how it feels, but tha’ doesna mean ye can do it.”

Callum watched as Lachlan showed Collin the proper way to hold his sword. The boy was only seven summers old but was determined to be a warrior.

Christian walked over to him, “He is holdin’ the sword wrong again?”

Callum looked over at his eldest son, “Aye. He seems ta want ta hold his sword the way he wants ta, and no’ the way it should be.”

Christian smiled, “I can help him if ye wish.”

Callum clapped his son on the back, “I ken ye would. Ye are a good man.”

Christian smiled at him, “Thank ye da.”

Christian was his spitting image, and yet, had Islay’s eyes. He also had Islay’s calm temperament and Callum couldn’t have been more grateful.

They had had three more children after Christian, a girl named Adaria, who was thirteen, and two more boys, named Flynn and Collin.

Islay was the best mother to them all, patient and kind.

He adored seeing her with their children and was so in love with her.

She was his everything and now that they had children, it was even more so.

She had given him the world and he wouldn’t take it for granted.

His people were thriving, doing so amazing and they were all supportive and kind to him.

No longer was anyone afraid or wary of him. They all loved him and gave him their unending love.

He often heard from his allies, and he loved it. Tague had wed not long after Callum had left the clan to Egan, finding a woman, alone in the mountains and trying to survive.
