He unbuckled the cuffs that had been around her wrists and moved them out of the way. His hands moved from her arms, down her sides, until they rested at her waist and he rolled her over. “Trust me.” His lips hovered over hers as he moved to nestle between her legs.

“I want to.” She swallowed.

“Good.” He lined up and pushed inside of her. Fuck, she felt better than he remembered. He slowly sank into her warm cunt. A groan escaped him as she squeezed him tight. Once he was fully sheathed, he pulled back slowly then plunged in faster.

“Jay,” his name from her lips came out as a moan.

He hesitated to move. As much as he wanted to hear her, he needed to know. “Why didn’t you wait?”

“I tried. They found the letter, Jay.” She shook her head. “I tried.”

He moved the blindfold from her eyes. “I told you I was coming back, Daisy.”

She nodded. Her eyes glued to his. “They threatened everything.”

His hand moved to grab her left leg and pull it up higher on his hip, then sunk in deeper. “I will always provide for you.” He pulled back and thrust back in. “I will always protect you.” He pulled back slowly and pushed in slowly. “You’re mine, Daisy. You never stopped being mine.”

Her hand moved to his cheek. “I’m scared.”

He could see it in her eyes as she looked at him. She wasn’t scared for her own life; she was afraid for his. He didn’t know what her family had done in the past, but he knew they were capable of dark things. Just as he was. They didn’t know about him though. He wasn’t going to let Daisy go. Not again. Not ever.

“I’m yours, darling. Let me help now.” He pulled back and thrust in.

“We can’t have conversations like this while your dick is in me.” She shook her head with a laugh. She was trying to change the subject.

“Daisy.”

“You’re mine?” Her hand rested on his cheek.

He nodded. “Always.”

He moved to thrust in again. Deeper. He wanted them both in this moment, feeling every movement. As her body was pushed higher on the bed, he moved his hands to the mattress above her shoulders. Keeping her in place as he moved.

Her back arched off the bed as he thrust in deeper. Her legs wrapped around him. Her hands moved to his back as she held on. A gasp escaped her lips as he seemed to push in deeper and hit just the right spot.

He pulled back and repeated the movement. That’s when he felt it. The pain in his back as her nails dug in and scratched down his back.

It was beautiful.

He knew what he needed to do. She let him mark her, permanently. He would do the same. He’d have the artist over first thing in the morning when she left. It would be the perfect surprise for her when he saw her again.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

DAISY

Her face remained expressionless as she sat back and took the shots coming. Her parents had been shooting daggers from their eyes as they reminded her of family responsibilities and what it meant to be a member of the Fay family.

The Family.

She held back from the eye roll she wanted to give at that last comment. Maybe they’d forgotten. The marriage she was forced into, made her a Buchanan now, not a Fay. She let her breathing keep her steady. Counting every inhale and exhale to keep them even.

It had surprised her to find one of The Family cars in the driveway when she’d arrived home that afternoon. She ignored it long enough to leave Jordan at the house and tell her she’d be back soon. There was no point in putting off the inevitable. Daisy slid in the backseat of the dark armored SUV.

She didn’t need to look out the window to know she was taken to one of the homes belonging to The Family that was more often used for business. From the outside world, a vacation home where the Fay family would gather. The inside, cold and calculated like everyone that continued to stare at her.

The dining room was used often growing up, they always had family or business partners over for meals. It was a time to discuss business, regardless of who was in the room. The old wooden table easily sat twenty people; there were usually less than a dozen at the table.

Today, not an empty seat.
