“I sent everyone home earlier. Nobody will be back for a couple of days.” He moved his hand to his jaw, twisted his head and cracked his neck.
“It was a great party.” She smiled and pretended she hadn’t been acting like a brat for the last two hours. Her heart raced.
“Are you going to do as I ask now?” His fingers ran up the backside of her arm as he stepped closer. “Or do you want to keep pushing it?”
“I mean.” She stepped out of his reach. “I was thinking of changing into something more comfortable.” Distraction was key. “Something I think you’ll like.”
“I think I’d like you in nothing but that collar back around your neck.” He set the masks down on a table nearby.
She nodded. “That could be arranged.”
Daisy thought he might leave her alone for a minute so she could, in fact, get more comfortable. Her head felt heavy, and she wanted a minute to herself. All she managed to do was be led into the bathroom.
Her hands braced on the cold countertop as he stripped her down to nothing and buckled the collar back into place. She swallowed against the thin strip of leather. She kept her gaze on his eyes, refusing to look down like the good little sub he was once used to. He needed to earn her submission. It felt too fast.
In reality, Daisy knew she shouldn’t have let him collar her yet. She wanted him to earn every moment with her as badly as she wanted them. They couldn’t pick up where they left, could they? It felt rushed. It was like he ignored the fact that they weren’t together for those years.
There had never been anyone who knew her body as well as he had. Even before the arranged marriage, she didn’t care about being with anyone else. She’d waited for Jay until she realized he was out and didn’t come for her. She didn’t have any other options.
Because she’d waited.
Waited for Gatsby like a breath of fresh air in her cramped life. Waited until she was backed into a corner by The Family with no means of escape. There wasn’t a thing she could do and now it was too late. Too late for happiness she could shout from the rooftops to announce to the world. All she could do was have these moments in the shadow.
Her happiness would have to remain hidden in the shadows.
His lips pressed softly across her shoulder and up her neck as he unpinned her hair. It tumbled down to one side, covering some of the goosebumps. He pulled the purple fabric from her hair and laid it on the counter. She was nervous. He’d brought her pleasure the night before, but this moment was different. It had been years since they were together. What if she wasn’t enough?
The idea that he’d built up some fantasy of her in his head. It crashed through her mind like ice; she couldn’t stand it. What if the idea of her was better than reality? His hand squeezed her waist as his lips moved to her ear.
“Be with me.” He kissed and nipped his way across her skin. “Get out of your head.”
She spun in his arms. “Then maybe you shouldn’t be wearing clothes either.”
He smiled. “Take off my jacket.”
“You take it off.” She pressed her lips closed to hold in the giggle then swallowed it back. “You can take it all off.” She leaned back on the counter and crossed her arms. “Go ahead, I’ll wait.”
“You’re not in charge here.” His voice came across more growly than usual. “Want to try that again?” It was a command, not a question.
Her hands raised to his chest. She started to shake her head then thought better of it. She slipped her hands under his jacket then slowly pushed it off.
“That’s my good girl.”
Good Girl.
That was all it took for her to undress him. Two little words sent shivers down her spine and she was moving because she wanted to hear them again. It was also the look in his eyes when he spoke them. The tone of his voice. Smooth and deep. She had to press her legs together to finish the task at hand.
He stopped before she could remove his boxer briefs. The dark fabric hugged him and didn’t hide his assets. She wanted to feel how hard he was in her hand, in her mouth, in her. Jay turned her back around so she was facing the mirror. He stepped closer, and she felt him brush across her backside.
His eyes met hers over her head. He was nearly a foot taller than her and even behind her, she could see him. Five years ago he was leaner. Then again, so was she. Where she’d gained some soft curves, his muscles had only grown. The size of him made her feel so small and protected.
She watched as he lifted the black tie from the counter where she’d carefully placed it while undressing him. He brought it up and over her eyes and she shook her head. Daisy wanted to be able to see what was happening. She wanted to see him. Her hands rose to grab hold of his wrists, as if she were stronger than him.
“Hands on the counter.”
Her hands dropped to the counter, and she exhaled. He pressed against her backside. His hard cock pushed against her lower back as he pulled the fabric over her eyes. The thickness of the tie didn’t let in a shred of light. She was at his mercy.
Without her eyes, she was forced to focus on her other senses. The scent of his cologne as he moved further away. The sound of a drawer opening and closing from outside of the room. The feel of his hands as they moved across her before his arms were lifting her into the air.
