“Are you sure?” His cock was resting at her entrance, and it was taking everything in him not to plunge in deep.
“Yes.” She nodded. “Make me yours.”
That was all he needed as he reached down to adjust himself slightly, and he lifted one leg up higher and thrust in.
“Fuck!” Her head shot back, and her eyes closed.
He pulled back slightly and pushed in a little slower. “Better?” Wait, was this her first time? He wouldn’t be surprised and he sure as hell hoped it was. She was his, after all.
Her hands squeezed his arms, nails digging in slightly as he paused. He was afraid to move. “Ella?”
Her eyes flew open to meet his. “It’s my…” she closed her mouth.
He smiled. “Mine too.” He bent down and placed a soft kiss on her lips. She smiled against his lips. He pulled back and moved slowly. His eyes stayed on her face as he moved in and out of her body. Slowly, so he could feel every inch of her. Memorize her.
He watched her mouth move as he made his moves inside of her faster. Slowly out then faster in.
Her eyes closed. “Tyler,” his name escaped her lips with a gasp. Her eyes opened. “I’m scared.”
“Fuck, princess.” He searched her eyes, wishing he could assure her. “You’ll always have me.” He swallowed. “Even if I could change fate, I would still choose you.”
She nodded. “Forever?”
“I can’t wait to spend forever with you.” He kissed her as he pulled out.
He sank into her again, and the pace quickened. He would never be able to get enough. He continued the pace as he felt his wolf get closer to the surface, his fangs extended. A few more thrusts and he felt her walls tighten around him.
He placed a kiss on the tender spot where her neck and shoulder met, filled her, then bit down. The iron taste filled his mouth at the same moment he felt the threads snap. Their souls were now attached.
His fangs retracted and he looked down to see the bite mark slowly turning into a scar.
She was his. Forever.
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
ELLA
His thumb rubbed back and forth across the top of her hand. She looked down at her lap, where his hands held hers. It may have all gone down in the last forty-eight hours, but this was something that started years before. Fate had this down before they were born.
If things had been different…
Ella felt like the last few years were a waste, avoiding him and staying clear when something beautiful could have already been forming.
She bit down on the edge of her bottom lip. He reached up and released it. His thumb ran across her lip, then his hand moved to the back of her neck. He grabbed a handful of her hair and tugged back slightly, until her eyes came up to meet his.
“We have the rest of our lives, and that’s all that matters.” His eyes flickered between hers.
She nodded. “It all started when I was little. They realized my magic was coming in, and so was my animal…”
Ella opened up about everything. She told him about the block they put on her with the necklace, how the earth had swallowed it up for her. The curse and how she grew up with this idea of it in her head, and her parents never correcting her. They let her believe it was a thing. She wasn’t completely convinced there wasn’t something wrong with the Ever family, she was going to be the last one.
Only now, she realized it wasn’t because she had zero desire to have children in the future. It was because she wasn’t going to finish her life with the Ever name. Too long had they had control. If she didn’t end up married with a name change, she would simply change her name to something else.
Tyler was angry when she told him about not believing in fate. How her parents let her believe that. A little girl growing up believing that she would never be fated, because her parents were selfish.
Ella had zero interest in being with more than one person, but that didn’t mean it was wrong for others. It especially wasn’t right for them to think they could make that choice for her. Everyone had a right to love who they wanted and as many as they wanted. It wasn’t up to others to decide how someone lived their life.
Her parents were close minded to think that way. Didn’t they understand the world was a huge place? Full of all types of people, cultures, and lifestyles. There was nothing wrong with people choosing a different path than others. It’s part of what made them beautiful.
