“Fuck, princess, you feel so good.” He groaned near her ear before sliding out and pounding back inside of her.
The gasp caught in her throat as he quickly pulled out, flipped her over, then penetrated her again. On her knees and elbows, her back arched and his grip tightened on her hips. Squeezing and moving her body in a fury.
She could feel him start to pulse inside of her. Or maybe it was her. Their bodies were as one as he hammered into her. Every part of her felt lit up, as if she were hot and cold. Heat rushed to her head and her vision flickered. Stars.
She saw stars. Specs across her darkening vision until all she had left was to scream his name and melt into the mattress.
Melt into his embrace.
Surely she was floating now.
He lovingly rubbed her arms and whispered about love near her ear. She was in his lap, but felt him everywhere.
“Come back to me.” His whispers floated around her. “I love you, Ella.”
Love? He’d never said those words before. He’d already told her she was his. They both knew they were fated mates and claimed each other numerous times, as if they couldn’t get enough of one another.
Love made sense that it would come next, she hadn’t expected it so soon, but the idea of it filled her up and warmed her insides.
Love.
She loved him too.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
TYLER
He mindlessly tapped the eraser end of his pencil on the edge of his desk. He should have been focusing on the lecture Professor Haines was giving. She was talking about The Council history; he knew it was important information. But there was something more important at the moment.
A distraction really.
A beautiful distraction sitting directly in front of him. Beautiful golden-brown hair was curled and begging to be gripped. Memories of doing just that, that morning, flooded him. He adjusted himself under the desk.
She peeked over her shoulder, giving him a quick smile, then returned her attention to the front of the classroom.
For the past several nights, they’d been staying in his room. He refused to be without her for another night, now that they were mated. The only problem now was that she refused to move her stuff into his room. He brought it up every chance he got, he wanted to be with her. It didn’t matter where they were to him, as long as they were together. He told her they could stay in her room, but it was like she didn’t care.
They were nearing the end of the first week of classes and he wasn’t going to let it slide anymore. He was either moving his stuff in her room or her stuff in his. If she couldn’t decide, he’d make the decision. Simple as that.
He watched Ella’s arm raise, then nod. “Obviously, the benefits are what matter here. The old ways caused The Council to be corrupt and full of selfish people. They made deals for personal gain with angels and demons, leaving the group that was in charge of the gifted community pointless.”
Everyone seemed to agree. So did he. He knew it had only been thirty years since the change. Not in his lifetime, but close enough.
“Not all, at the time, agreed.” Professor Haines slowly crossed the front of the class. “Most of those individuals had deals of their own going.” She glanced at the clock on the wall. “And that’s time. Next week we’re going to discuss in detail the events leading up to the change. Class dismissed.”
He was up and out of his seat before the woman finished speaking. He ignored the laughs as he grabbed his and Ella’s books, then pulled her along with them. All he wanted was to get out of this class and be one with Ella again. He couldn’t get enough of her.
The professor laughed in the background. “Mating moon.”
The mating moon?
Oh, he’d heard of it. It was still undecided on if it was a real thing, it depended on who you’d ask. Most didn’t believe in it. There were enough in the supernatural community who kept the spirit of it alive though.
They took one of the hidden passageways up to her room, since it was the perfect shortcut. He didn’t let go of her hand the entire time. Even when she argued that she could carry her own books. That was another disagreement. He knew perfectly well that she could, didn’t mean he was going to let her when they had a class together. Call him an old soul, he wanted to do things for her. He’d move the worlds for her.
Once they were inside her room, he dropped the books on the table near her door, locked them in, then pulled her in farther.
He peppered her neck with kisses as he moved them towards the bed. Once her knees hit the back of the bed and she fell back with a giggle, he smiled.
