“Not quite.”

“Sara…I can’t read your mind. What would you like?”

She loved the feel of his cool hair against her fingertips. “You’d do that? Just give me…whatever I want?”

“You know I will. If I can, that is.”

She slid her hand behind his head to his nape, staring down at the man she loved more than anything or anyone in the world. Except… “I want to change the sitting room into a nursery and playroom. Right there beside my office.”

She’d never seen Rhys speechless, but she felt the moment he understood what she was saying.

“A nursery?”

“Mmm.”

“So you…want to try to have a baby? Get pregnant?”

She canted her head to one side, struggling to maintain her neutral expression. “Would you mind?”

He had to clear his throat to speak, and when he did, his words were husky. “Not at all. I especially like the trying part.”

She squeezed his nape a bit and leaned forward to kiss him. “I like the trying part too,” she said against his lips. “I’m pretty sure that’s why I’m already pregnant.”

“Ahhh, sweet Sara, I was beginning to wonder if you’d ever tell me.”

She drew back, frowning. “Wait, what?”

Rhys smiled up at her, looking quite satisfied that he’d surprised her.

“Do you really think I can’t see the differences in your body? I know it as well as my own.”

She lowered her forehead to his. “Youknew?”

“Suspected,” he said as though trying to soften the blow that her surprise wasn’t a surprise after all.

“Why didn’t yousayanything?”

He kissed her softly, slowly, drawing out the kisses until she felt hazy and muddled and melty.

“Some things are worth the wait, sweetheart.”

She pressed herself closer and kissed him again. “Well, we might be pregnant, but I hope we can still practice the trying part. A lot. I’m starting to realize pregnancy hormones are quite…intense.”

Her laughter rang out as he abruptly stood and carried her over to the couch, carefully lowering her to the cushions.

The lights from the tree twinkled over them, and she wrapped her arms around her husband, holding him as close as she possibly could as they kissed. It wasn’t everyday a girl got a loving, wonderful, gorgeous billionaire for Christmas.

And this one? He belonged to her.
