“For assignments, yes. Getdressed.”

They both conjured clothing and sat on the bed’s edge. He raised an eyebrow at her lime green dress and the bright pinksash.
“You’ve spent far too much time with the Crystal Wizard, and you’ve taken on his love of wild colors,” he toldher.
Ella smiled. “This is me, Kieran. I’ve suppressed my love of color until you coaxed out my trueself.”
Kieran knelt down and took her hand. “Ella-mine, will you be my forever mate and not merely my partner to fight evil? Without you my life is not complete. I am the ice to your fire, the balance we both need in eachother.”
A lump clogged her throat. Ever since Kieran had left her, she’d felt empty and alone. Her other half, the male who made her laugh, watched her six, would sacrifice his life for her happiness, wasgone.
“I can bear whatever I must, as long as you are with me, Kieran. It’s not going to be easy. I don’t know what our lives will belike.”
He stood, drawing her into his arms. “I know. I would have it no otherway.”
He kissed her, melting her from the inside out. His mouth was warm, oh, so warm, and his arms were strong and comforting. She wanted to stay thereforever.
When he pulled away, there was a glint in his dark gaze. “But if you will, let’s remain in Colorado as our home base. I do love thecold.”
She laughed. “I can’t say we’ll be home often because of my assignments, but yes, that’s myplan.”
They faced many challenges in the coming days. Ella still wasn’t comfortable with the terrible magick endowing her. It was scary, having this much power. But Kieran would ground her and help her throughit.
Life would be filled with excitement, frustration, challenges and inevitably, pain. It would never be boringagain.
And with Kieran at her side, Ella knew it would be filled withlove.
