For a moment, everyone stops talking. Their heads turn to stare at us, well mostly at Annalise. It’s mostly warriors in the dining hall right now, and I feel a bit bad for taking Annalise here when it’s so packed. But these are my warriors, the men and women I work with closely, and I know them well. I want to prove something to Annalise. I want to show her how welcomed she is, and I know this is the perfect moment. She was just kidnapped, and managed to put up a fight despite her rank and lack of fighting experience. She proved to have quite a few hidden talents. The memory is still fresh in everyone’s minds, especially my warriors’, so I need to make sure they meet her now.
They don’t disappoint me. Once the present warriors recover from the surprise of seeing both of us, most of them stand up, greeting her politely. “You are allowed to talk to her,” I say. “As long as you keep your hands to yourself.”
Some of the guys chuckle at my comment before they finally allow their curiosity to take over. I can hear their excited chatter all around us.
“Man, I would have loved to see our cute little future Luna rip out that crap’s throat!”
“Must have been a sight to remember! I can’t believe I wasn’t on duty that day!”
“Are you feeling well again, young Luna?” a female warrior asks.
“You healed so fast,” one of the younger wolves hollers. “Is it true you are immune to wolfsbane?”
Annalise keeps smiling and nodding, answering all their questions. I can see her blush through the bright smile curling her lips.Please make them stop. I hate being the center of attention.
I just laugh, putting my hand on her back and leading her through the room and towards our table.What happened to your… cocky attitude from before?

I laugh, taking her hand and kissing it, before wrapping my arm around her shoulders. Finn rolls his eyes at us, but Aryanna beams happily. She is always happy when I’m happy. I hope she will find her mate one day too, someone as perfect for her as Annalise is for me. My other pack members just look at me in surprise; they haven’t seen the mushy and lovestruck side of me before.
Well, they will have to get used to it. When my lovely mate is around, my guard immediately goes down. She makes me so much more approachable, I think. I got so lucky to have her as my mate. I can’t thank the Moon Goddess enough for it.
Once we sit down, I link my brother.What was that before with Marius? Did something happen?
Not that I know.Finn sounds annoyed.If I knew what I did to upset him, I could at least apologize or defend myself.

I hate that he refuses to talk to me. Aurelia is the only one he’s remotely nice to.

I don’t answer him. What am I supposed to say? Of course, I take it personally. Who wouldn’t…? Marius is my brother, and I've always tried to protect him and be there for him. I always genuinely liked being a big brother and watching out for my siblings.Do you want me to get down to the issue?
He shrugs.I don’t know. If you do, it might escalate further. And then Mom and Dad will find out eventually.
I agree with him. I don’t want to involve our parents yet. I feel this is an issue between us siblings, and we should settle it ourselves.Yeah, if we involve Dad, it will be pretty bad.
He grins.Involve Dad? No, if we involve him, it will be a civil war like with the Avengers.
I blink a bit.Who?
Oh right, I forgot I was talking to you.He smirks.I will tell Annie that’s a movie you need to see!
I groan inwardly. As possessive as I might feel about her, once this whole scare with Red Claw is over, I’ll make sure she sees her friend Dave again…I know he is her cinema buddy, and they share an obsession for action and fantasy movies. Leave me out of viewing those movies!
Although, admittedly, I liked that romance movie she showed me last time.
After lunch, Aryanna and I head to the training grounds. I’m leading the training for the younger wolves. Ari is there to watch and learn how I train them, so that maybe she can take over someday. Annalise joins us to watch, and I’m so happy she is curious about the pack and wants to see how we run things.
I fucking love it. I can see her starting to feel at home here. I want her to join the pack during the next full moon, and I hope she will agree.
Once the training starts, I notice some young wolves missing. It’s always the same ones. I heard there was a party yesterday, and in all honesty, I don't mind them partying as long as they're ready to take responsibility the next day and arrive on time.
When I finally see the three tardy wolves approaching, the main group is already in the middle of the training. “Continue!” I tell the group before turning to the three teens.
