“When are you going shopping?” Liam asks.
I drive my hands through his thick hair. “Later today.”
“So, we still have time left?” His normally so distanced expression gives way to a smirk.
I nod, gasping when I suddenly feel his hand underneath my shirt. I grab his wrist, noting how he looks slightly worried by my action, but instead of pushing him away or making him stop, I lead his hand upwards. I can feel him pushing my shirt and bra up, his hand cupping one of my breasts, kneading it.
“You are playing a very dangerous game,” he groans.
“You too, Liam,” I manage to breathe out, bending down to kiss his neck.
“Say it again,” he demands, his hand resting against my back, pulling me closer to his chest. “My name.”
“Liam,” I repeat, my fingers digging into his shoulders to stay upright. “Liam, Liam.”
“For Goddess’s sake, Annalise,” he breathes out, turning us over so my back hits the seat and his body is hovering above me.
I never find out what he plans on doing, unfortunately, or gladly, since Emerson and Aryanna are still around. Of course we also get interrupted by his phone loudly ringing. After a while, Ari knocks against one of the windows.
“Honestly, Ari,” he groans. “You just wait until you find your mate. Then it’s payback time.”
She laughs. “Sorry, my Prince!”
To see him like this, openly showing his displeasure and acting almost childish at his Beta’s interruption makes my heart flutter. I realize I’m probably the only one who will make him let his guard down like this.
“You have to go, Liam,” I chuckle. adjusting my clothes, noting his frown while I do so. “Your meeting with the Alphas is starting soon.”
He sighs, sits up and helps me rearrange my clothes. “Keep the thought from before,” he orders, flashing me a smile. “Can I see you tonight?”
I nod eagerly.
“My meeting might take a long time, though.”
I shrug. “I don’t mind. Just text me when you are finished.”
He smiles, pulling me into yet another kiss, a soft one this time. “Emerson will escort you on your shopping trip. I think he might enjoy it too. He can go home afterwards. After driving us around today, he deserves the evening off. Ari and I will make our own way home.”
When I get back to the dorm, I message my friends immediately. Emerson will pick us up after lunch, so I need to check who is still in for our afternoon shopping trip. I so want to hang out with Dave,Ella and Finn again!
I open a WhatsApp group, adding all my friends who might be willing to join us.
