“I agree,” Finn chuckles. “Although we can all agree that our sister is pretty.”

“All right, time for you to meet my chaotic siblings,” Liam chuckles, leading me towards them. He introduces them all, and soon I have curious questions raining down on me. Felix and Aurelia voice their curiosity the clearest. They seem to be the most outgoing, while Dario reacts shyly. Marius doesn’t say much at all. He has only muttered a hello. He is a beautiful man, tall and lean, with long hair and a beard, but he seems to keep to himself for most of the time. Meanwhile, Finn looks pretty smug to know me already.

I don’t know what I expected, but definitely not such a warm welcome.

Flora puts her arm around me and pulls me away from them. Her touch is warm, and I feel instantly relaxed in her presence. She just radiates this calmness… I need to ask Liam about her gifts later. I know there are a lot of rumors about the Iron Luna and what she can do. “I hope you are hungry, sweetheart.”

I nod with a smile. “I am,” I promise. The evening activities Liam and I engaged in left me hungry, but I was too nervous to eat anything for breakfast.

She claps her hands in joy and pumps her fist in the air. “Good, because I made sure there is plenty of food prepared for us. I interrogated Liam beforehand.”

“She wanted to know what you like to eat,” Liam explains with an amused smile. His gaze says it all, though: Told you. There was no need to feel worried.

“Lunch still needs a while to be ready,” Elden interrupts us. “Why doesn’t Liam show you around the packhouse a bit?”

I’m dying to see everything. “That would be fantastic.” I beam at Liam.

“All right,” he smiles at me, taking my hand into his.

“Mind if I accompany you?” Elden asks. I’m taking a wild guess that he wants to get to know me a bit better without everyone around.

“Not at all,” I say.

Aurelia approaches us. “Can I come too?”

“Fine, it’s us four,” Liam sounds amused. “But that’s it. I’m not going to lead a procession through the packhouse.”

Elden leads us to the entrance hall. The floor is made from marble and covered with beautiful Persian carpets. There is a staircase in the middle that elegantly separates into two to reach the upper floors. It’s an open staircase with a corridor leading around it.

“There are two elevators on each side,” Elden explains.

I’m speechless. “What was this inspired by? Baroque?”

“You have a good eye,” Elden sounds happy. “It’s inspired by European baroque architecture with a hint of neoclassicism and renaissance, adapted into something new and modern. Admittedly I don’t know much about these things. This is Flora’s doing. She might not look like it, but she majored in architecture and building technology.”

“Wow, I’m sorry for not saying something more intelligible, but I’m just completely fascinated by this,” I admit.

“You like it?” Liam asks happily.

I nod. “It’s fantastic. How does it work? How are the floors separated?”

The three of them are obviously happy about my interest and explain to me how it’s organized. It’s quite similar to the packhouse of Moon Blood. In general, the first floor has all the official rooms, like a few living rooms, kitchens, and a hall for bigger gatherings and celebrations. The salon we were in is a secluded area for the Alpha and his family. The second floor has single rooms for unmated pack members who prefer not to live alone. There is no difference in rank here, which I immediately love. Young Omegas, Betas and Alphas live side by side.

“Only the genders are separated,” Aurelia chuckles. “I think Dad wants to avoid too many night activities here.”

“You got that one right.” Elden snorts. “I wouldn’t mind the night activities, but young people are reckless sometimes, and I would like to avoid too many surprise pregnancies.”

“I told you,” Aurelia grins. “You should have placed a condom machine here.”

Elden and Liam roll their eyes at her words, but I can’t help but chuckle. She seems to warm up to me, which I really appreciate. “I hope you don't mind that I tagged along,” she says. “I’m just really happy you are soon going to be here. Up to now, it was just the boys and me.”

Liam told me before that she was straight-forward. It still surprises me how direct she is, but I’m not uncomfortable. It’s obvious that the Alpha's blood runs strong through her veins. She is just honest with herself and others without saying anything hurtful. I instantly take a liking to her. “Don’t worry,” I grin. “Us sisters need to stick together.”

She laughs. “You got it!”

“Let’s continue before you gang up against us any further,” Liam smiles. He puts an arm around my shoulder again and pats Aurelia’s head softly.

The further we progress upstairs, the more private it gets. There are apartments for the pack warriors and those with special ranks. “Mated warriors and officials can also choose to live in their own place of course. Actually, everyone can decide that on their own. I don’t force anyone to live here.”
