“This is so wrong,” Raffy mutters when we stand next to each other, eyeing our reflection in the mirror.
I roll my hips a bit and wiggle my brows. “Not good?” I ask him, noting how his eyes darken for a moment. I could swear he just growled lowly.
Raffy purses his lips. “Not bad,” he finally concludes.
Chapter twenty-five
The BDSM Club
*DAVE*
Imakesurewedon’t arrive at the party in the club too early. It’s an LGTBQ+ club, known for their theme parties, and it’s BDSM night tonight. Not wanting to brag or anything, but I think Raffy and I are slamming it.
“We’re a couple today,” I remind him when we approach the entrance.
Raffy nods, flabbergasted, but when I shoot him a glare, he raises his brows. “Don’t act out,” he teases right when we appear at the bouncer. His voice is deep and has a little edge to it, and I just feel a shiver going through my body. Wow, he is hot.
The bouncer is a hunk of a man, too, nodding his approval at us before his gaze lingers on me. I know when a guy takes an interest in me, and he definitely likes what he sees. Before I can throw some sass at him, though, Raffy has his hand on my shoulder, his thumb brushing over the edge of my collar while he glares at the man in front of us.
The guy clears his throat and lets us pass.
“Unbelievable,” Raffy grumbles, letting go of my shoulder again. “What an idiot.”
I can only gape at him. I didn’t know I was into this stuff… until now. Seriously, while not being particularly vanilla, BDSM is definitely nothing I ever thought about trying.Maybe I just lacked the fitting partner,I think, my eyes gliding over Raffy again.
What am I even thinking?
Matthew and I just ended things a few days ago… it’s all so fresh, and although I might not be a wolf, losing my mate hurt me too.
“Hey,” Raffy says softly, touching my shoulder again. “Did I do something wrong?”
“No,” I say quietly. “You didn’t do anything. You’re perfect.”
“Do you want a drink?” he asks, still looking worried. “And before you argue, I have a bit of money and would like to pay for our drinks.”
I nod, still feeling a bit confused. “Gin and Tonic,” I mutter.
Raffy nods, and I watch him as he moves towards the bar. He is easily the tallest guy tonight, towering over everyone else. His whole figure is imposing, like a bear and a wildcat at the same time. Some of the other guys are ogling him, some eye him with skepticism, probably because he looks a bit dark and dangerous. They don’t know that he is actually only a bit broody and quiet.
When he is about to return to me, our eyes meet briefly. He smiles, making warmth pool in my stomach. I try not to stare at him, but I can’t help it. Something seems to draw me to him naturally.
“Here.” Raffy manages to get through the crowd and reaches me. “Your drink.” He hands me my gin and tonic and takes a sip from his own piña colada.
He is drinking a piña colada.
He likes sugary sweet cocktails, and he is not embarrassed to stand here, easily the most imposing guy today, and drink what he likes to drink.
I don’t know why, but something about this makes me both happy and sad.
“Is something wrong?” Raffy asks. “You’re so quiet.”
“It’s nothing,” I say evenly. “I’m just taking in the whole atmosphere.”
“You visit such clubs a lot?” he wants to know.
“I like clubbing,” I admit. “But I’m not a regular at BDSM nights.”
“Really?” Raffy raises his brows. “I thought you were a pro.”
