Nothing has ever made me smile so much.

Luke and Troy shuffle together, and Axel and Dmitri. Soon everyone is paired off, and they bumble in their pads and skates over the ice.

Cameras click, and yellow explodes through the arena. Couples gaze fondly at each other, and a few guests start dancing in the aisles.

Tanaka has a bemused, befuddled expression on his face, then he grins and gives me a thumbs up. Coach snorts andshakes his head.

The ice is filled with dancing men. Some people stare, others smile, and soon the whole crowd claps along to the beat of the love song.

EPILOGUE

Finn

One year later

Noah and I stroll over the super fancy carpet of the equally super fancy Vegas hotel. Vegas sparkles on the other side of the large glass windows.

“We might have been drunk, but we chose a nice hotel,” Noah says cheerfully.

“I chose a perfect husband,” I declare. If I sound smug, it’s because I’m fucking telling the truth.

“Right. I throw up when I get drunk, and you make brilliant life decisions.”

“Uh-huh,” I say happily.

“I accepted.”

“I mean. Your faculties were impaired. How could you ever say no this?” I gesture to my body, and Noah’s eyes flare.

Okay.We might be making out in the hallway soon. Which is hot, but not super appropriate.

“Where’s the keycard, my sweet puck?” I whisper.

“Pocket,” he murmurs.

I grin and dig for it, then frown. “It’s not there.”

“I didn’t tell you which one.”

My eyebrows sail upward, and I give a strangled laugh. “You weren’t this naughty last year.”

“I hadn’t been under your influence for a year.”

Then my heart swells, because how can it not when I contemplate all the joy, all the laughter we’ve shared.

“Happy one year anniversary, husband,” I murmur.

I duck one hand into his breast pocket, one hand into his right front pocket, because I already searched for his keycard in his left front pocket.

I think I feel something in his right front pocket, but I pull out my hand.

“What is it?” he asks.

“I just remembered. That suit comes with pockets in the back.”

“Oh.” His eyes widen, and he rubs his succulent lips together. “You have to be diligent.”

“Uh-huh. Turn around, baby.”
