Reese
I mean, the worst it can do is cause an argument between them.
I doubt they’d cause a scene at a charity event.
Sutton
But what if they never agree to do another event because we put them with the opposition?
Reese
That’s true.
Maybe put them with someone not part of the discussion.
Sutton
Like with Jace at his table?
Reese
It might make for an interesting night for them.
Idk if Jace has met the mayor yet or not.
Sutton
I think there was an event last year they were both at. I know the planner.
It was the talk of the town for a while.
When he didn’t respond, Sutton turned her attention back to the seating chart.
She’d just switched the mayor with another person at Jace’s table when her phone went off again.
Reese
So, what are you doing tonight?
She shifted on the couch, taking in her cluttered living room. She caught a glimpse of herself in the window and laughed aloud at the gremlin sitting on her couch.
Sutton
Just working on the seating chart.
Wonder why he wants to know.
Reese
That sounds not fun.
