“Sorry,” she shrugs her shoulders.

“I called you Satan, you could have chosen something harsher than jerk,” I snort.

“Can’t swear on TV,” she laughs.

“Skye, Momma’s waiting,” her brother calls from his car.

“I guess I have a lot to answer for. The adult thing to do is man up,” she says.

“I think everything will work out in the end.”

“I hope it does for both of us.”

We’ve made a deal to always support each other and she will be my first stop on the new show. The same conversation we had, we’re going to tell the world what went wrong with us and what we did.

I wave at her as Carlton takes his place.

“And action.”

“Memphis, you’ve let Skye go. We all know what that means. Natalie, come on out.”

Natalie takes her place and I say my spiel about how I like her and that we would be great together. I’ve also hired her as my new agent/lawyer.

“Natalie, I choose you.”

She squeals and hugs me. Carlton congratulates us and tells the world to tune in later when they announce the next bachelor.

“And cut.”

“Time to get ready for the next trip,” she says.

I nod.

“We need to strategize,” she says as she waves Brick over. This is a new Natalie, but I need this person right now.

“We have one more day here. Shane has graciously offered us that. So, change and meet in the kitchen. We need to come up with a list of places we are going and why. And then we set out tomorrow. I’ve already negotiated with the crew.”

Brick nods as he follows me upstairs. I’m just throwing on a t-shirt and pajama bottoms.

“I think it was a good idea to hire her.”

“Well, Sal told me to find a new agent. She’s definitely qualified.”

“You’re going to change lives with this.”

“I know.”

“And don’t worry, you’ll get Ever back.”

“I hope so.”

He pats my shoulder as we head back downstairs.

Natalie has a pen and pad of paper, waiting patiently for me.

“As I understand it, we’re starting with Skye.”

“Most of this started because I thought I loved her. I did love her. I married her and my fame went to her head. Shit, it went to my head. The world saw her as the monster under the bed and I got away with playing the victim. I’m not a victim, I’m the instigator in all of this, since the night that Ever told me she loved me. I took that for granted. I took her and Skye and my talent for granted. I put myself above everyone. Skye had a change of heart, and I don’t know why but her turnaround was instant. I think it’s a good thing. She’s manning up, now it’s my turn.”
