“Alright, contestants, we’ve done some digging and we are doing improv today. We pick a topic and you act it out. The most cheers wins a date. We pick your partners.”

“Mason and Mallory, you’re up,” Carlton says and they head to the stage.

I look out in the crowd and see lots of familiar faces.

Mason and Mallory do a funny skit about ads on TV. Good for them.

“Snow and Dayton, dancing,” and they take the stage. I watch as Snow moves around the stage so gracefully. I’m in awe of her talent.

“Victoria and Stan, banking,” Carlton says.

“But my partner is Lincoln,” she whines.

“Yes, but we picked your partner as Stan,” Sal pushes them to the stage. Stan does all the talking, all Victoria does is pout like a child. What a bitch. Karma is going to eat her alive one day. She will figure out that not all crowns are shiny.

“We need to talk,” Linc whispers in my ear.

“Nothing to talk about. You made it clear,” I sneer.

“Linc and Skye, lost love,” and I want to throttle Sal. He’s doing this on purpose.

“No, we have lots to talk about,” he says as I rush to the stage. This is going to be a disaster, I can feel it. He’s running after me.

“Skye, please,” he whispers.

“Talk about what?” I yell at him, not realizing we were in the middle of the stage.

His eyes widen and I have diarrhea of the mouth.

“This isn’t the place,” he says.

“No, it’s never the place. It’s all about you, isn’t it?” Why can’t I shut up?

“You want to go there, fine.” And the audience disappears for a moment.

“You hurt me,” he says.

“Yeah, I know. I married someone else, for selfish reasons. I know I can never change that. But you hurt me as well, told me I was a good fuck.”

“You were more than that. I just don’t understand why you had to go and do it.” Why I had to marry Memphis? I told him a half truth.

“Because, I just said I was a selfish bitch. I didn’t want to stay here. I needed to fly for a minute.”

“And you don’t think I could have done that for you,” he says.

“No, at the time, I didn’t. I had stars in my eyes and Memphis could give that to me.”

“You’re a bitch,” he hisses.

“And you’re a dick,” I sneer.

“I wonder what Memphis would think if he knew what we did on your wedding day.”

“I’m sure he would be more pissed at you.”

“You’ve never told him what happened?” He looks shocked.

“Why would I? I was humiliated when the guy I loved fucked me like trash and told me that was all I was good for.”
