“She didn’t tell me she was pregnant. I don’t know what happened to the baby.”
“I don’t think she had it,” Snow is sitting on the porch with Dayton.
“Hey,” I lift my hand in a wave.
“After your showdown, things got out of hand and Sal called the competition off for a few days. Some of the group went into town with their families,” Dayton informs me.
“I don’t even know what happened.” I forgot the audience was there when we started going at it.
“You and she both kept secrets and it fucked everything up,” Ever hardly cusses, so this is a huge ordeal to her.
“How is Memphis?”
“He’s like you, trying to figure out if he’s the father and where the baby is.”
“Where is Skye?” I know she’s not here anymore.
“She is at home. Her mom and brother ran out after her when she took off. I’ve been informed she’s fine,” Ever says, “I’m going over in a few days to talk to her.”
“Can I go?” Snow asks and Ever nods.
“Me too,” Alexa joins us.
“Me as well,” Mckenna chimes in.
“I’ll go grab some beers,” Dayton disappears inside the house.
“I’m trying to process everything that happened.”
“I think it needs to be said that she didn’t do anything with Zack,” Alexa starts. I nod, I think I always knew that.
“And she’s not her past,” Ever points out.
“Fuck, I should have trusted her.” I’m a stupid punk.
“I know it’s hard to get past her past. She wasn’t a good person at one point in time, but she’s not that person anymore.”
“I fucked everything up.” I feel like a broken record saying it, but it’s true.
“You both did. Glad that you’re finally taking credit for your part,” Memphis puts Ever on his lap.
“I’m sorry, Memphis. I told you why I went to her. I didn’t mean to sleep with her. It was just a whirlwind of emotions and I couldn’t stop myself.”
“In his defense, he was in love with her and just wanted to see her one more time,” Snow says softly.
“What about the baby and how does Kelsey know her?” Alexa adds.
“I’m racking my brain. I’ve never seen Kelsey before. And the baby, I know she wasn’t showing when we were in Atlanta, but then again, I was gone all the time,” Memphis ponders.
“I told Linc I am going to talk to her in a few days. I’m sure she needs some time to decompress,” Ever says. I’m sure we all do after that explosion of truth.
“I’m sure. I should be angry with her and Linc, and at first I was, but I’m not, so convey that to her,” Memphis says.
“I will,” she kisses his cheek. Sickening but sweet.
“Is he really going to continue the show after that?” Mckenna asks, meaning Sal. I bethedoes.
“Are you kidding? He said the ratings were through the roof with this episode. He is hoping that everyone keeps that up, which is why Snow and Dayton are leaving. Alexa is staying because she has dirt on the others and has decided to stir up trouble just for you guys,” Ever laughs.
