“I’m in.” I smile. This will be perfect.

“Now we just have to get things ready,” he replies.

“I need a baby duck,” I tell him, and he looks at me like I’ve lost my mind.

“A duck?”

“A baby duck. Timber once told me she wished she was a duck. Long story. But I want a baby duck.”

“I’ll make some calls.”

“I’m going to need several dozen tiger lilies, peonies, lilacs, and orchids in various colors.”

“Alright.”

“I’m also going to need Lincoln,” I say.

“Are you feeling alright? You want a girl, not a man.” He looks like I’ve gone off the deep end.

“No, I’m going to need him for wardrobe.”

“Wardrobe?” Now he’s trying to catch up.

“I’m not wearing a tux. I’m wearing Wranglers and boots. Lincoln will be able to help me pick some out. Timber is a country girl. I want to show her that I can fit in. I’m going to need Mason or Jimmy to teach me how to really ride.”

“Alright.” He chuckles and starts making calls as Brice comes in.

“What’s going on?”

“I’m going to be at the finale,” I tell him.

He stares at me for a moment and then breaks out in a goofy grin. “This should be fun.”

“Yeah, he requested Lincoln,” Easton throws out, and Brice raises his eyebrows.

“I’m going country.” Brice laughs.

“This will be awesome.”

I look at Easton for a minute, and while he is talking and laughing, I see the sadness in his eyes, like Snow.

I wonder if he cares about her more than he is letting on. I wonder if she cares about him. After I get Timber, I’m going to help him.

“We’re here for the planning party.” Rome and Memphis carry pizza while London carries some beer, and Silas and Ty each have a water.

“He needs a baby duck. Can one of you get on that?” Easton snorts from across the room.

“A duck?”

“Timber needs a duck,” I tell them.

“I hope you know what you’re getting into,” Rome cautions with a chuckle.

“I do,” I say as Memphis steps into my bubble.

“She’s my little sister. You hurt her again, and I will hurt you.”

“Don’t mind him. Timber put him in his place, and he’s a little pissy about it.” London laughs.
