“When Timber tells me it’s time, the camera will go on. What she and Mason are doing is not for the faint of heart. First one to puke goes home.”

I don’t like the sound of that, but I promised her I would fight for her, and that I would win.

I avoid Snow all day. I’m still reeling from the fact she came here. The way Timber is avoiding me tells me how messed up it is, and it pisses me off.

“Sal, it’s time.” We all run in, and the minute Mason sticks his hand up the cow’s behind, I hurl.

“Dayton, you’re eliminated. But since you still work for me, you can’t go home.”

I don’t want to go home. I want to stay. I still want to show her that I want her. I promised her I would fight, but with being eliminated, she will think I lied. I’m such a failure.

I hang my head and walk outside.

“Here.” Brice hands me a water.

“Thanks.”

“Do you still love Snow?”

“No.”

“Then why would you fucking let her sleep in your cabin?”

“I was too tired to argue.”

“You know how this looks to Timber,” he says.

“I know. I messed up.”

“What are you going to do now?”

“I don’t think I can fix this.”

“You can. For right now, keep your distance and send her home.” He points at Snow, who is arguing with Easton.

“I know.”

“Once everyone’s tempers have simmered, we come up with a plan.”

“Thanks,” I tell my brother.

“I’m here for you.” I’m glad at least one person is on my side today.

“Dayton, you can head back,” Sal says, and I don’t say anything. Brice drives me back to the homestead in silence.

“Want to spar?”

“No, thanks. Timber will be getting ready for her date when she comes home. I’m just going to lie down.”

“Don’t give up just yet,” he says before walking away and joining London on the porch. I can’t take the disapproving looks right now.

“I know you like her,” Axel says.

“I do.” I turn and face him. He has the date today.

“You sleep with Snow?”

I shake my head. “I don’t love her.”
