“I’m probably going to regret this, but just order whatever you think she will like, and I want lots.”
The girls giggle and turn back to the computer.
“I need a smoker,” I tell the guys, and they look at me for a minute.
“Not a smoke, a smoker, like Shane’s, and a grill. I figure after I show her the house, everyone could come over for a pool party.”
“Wait, you have a pool?”
“And a pond. Well, almost.”
“The pool he speaks of is inside. It starts in his living room, and you swim under a little partition, and it spreads out,” Memphis adds.
“Fuck. I need that,” Jimmy whispers.
“So, a family BBQ?” London asks.
“Yes.” I nod.
“I’m down with that.” Rome smiles.
I’m finally relaxed.
I sit down on the couch, peeking over at what Ever is looking at.
“Unicorn pool floats?”
“Well, you have a pool.” She mock glares at Memphis. “I might need to come check on my little sister often.”
I laugh. “You guys can come over any time. I will need Lincoln to help me with horses,” I say, and he nods.
“Actually, Mason and Lincoln have two horses that should be together,” Skye pipes up from where the girls are huddled together.
Mason sighs. “Yeah, probably should give them to you since we don’t want them to get hurt on the fence.”
“Wow, thanks, guys.”
“In this together.” London nods.
I agree.
CHAPTERTHIRTY-SEVEN
TIMBER
I’m a nervous wreck. He was here. No one will tell me why. Ever asked me to go do something, and we passed Memphis on the way out. Dayton was with him. I wonder if they worked things out. Dayton loved the guys. If he didn’t get them back, it would have killed him. But he did, because he was here.
“You look sad or angry. Can’t figure out which,” Axel says as he sits down next to me.
“I don’t know what I am. I’m relieved there are no more secrets. I’m happy the show is almost over. No offense. I’m scared about my future.”
“It will be magical.” He does spirit hands, and I laugh.
“What are your plans after this?”
“A few of us are thinking about moving to Texas.”
“Texas?”
