“Go shower. We’ll bring up your dress and shoes,” Ever orders, pointing to the stairs.

I nod and do as she tells me. I’m running on autopilot now. I wish my autopilot could fling me into the next day. Then I would be on Dayton’s doorstep, telling him how much he’s stupid and I’m stupid, and I love him.

Shit. I love him? Do I? Yes, I do.

When I get out, Ivy and McKenna are waiting to help me with my hair and makeup.

“I want to go natural,” I tell McKenna. She smiles, swipes some mascara on my lashes, and adds gloss.

Ivy dries my hair and leaves it down, curling the ends.

Then it’s time for my dress.

When I turn to look in the mirror, I feel as beautiful as I look.

“OMG,” Ivy says with tears in her eyes.

“I agree,” McKenna says.

“Time to go.” Ever peeks her head in, and she shakes her head at Ivy.

We walk down the stairs, no shoes for me.

“Oh hell no,” my dad shouts.

“She’s not a little girl anymore,” Ivy teases. “And I told you.”

“Find her something else,” he grumbles.

I kiss his cheek. “It will only be for a little bit, and then I will change into my old self in jeans and tanks.”

He relaxes as Memphis puts a necklace on me. Diamond strands with a teardrop diamond. Absolutely breathtaking.

“Thank you,” I tell him.

“Don’t thank me.” He shrugs and walks off. I take my spot under the gazebo, barefoot. Everyone is smiling. Now I want to throw up. I hate being fake.

But it’s for Uncle Sal.

“It’s time.” Carlton squeezes my hand in reassurance.

“Okay.”

“Action,” someone yells.

“Tonight is Timber’s finale. Two men left standing. Timber, have you made your pick?”

“I have, Carlton,” I reply.

“Who will it be?”

“You’ll have to find out like everyone else.” I smile, and he laughs.

“Alright, Silas is on his way out.”

I fidget for a minute until he is standing in front of me.

“Timber, you look beautiful,” he says, and I blush.
