“You look pretty,” she says, drying my hair. I just stare off into space.
Before she starts to curl my hair, she sits down on the bed.
“Dayton?”
I nod.
“He was really hung up on Snow. I know that’s hard for you to hear. But he’s not a bad guy. He’s been handed some shit in the past.”
“You just cussed.”
“Only way to describe it.” She chuckles.
She looks at me for a moment and then goes on. “Not my story to tell. But I think he likes you. He’s just worried he can’t give all of himself to you. Just give him some time.”
I nod as she starts to curl my hair.
“Perfection.” She smiles at me.
“Thank you so much.”
“Anytime.”
We head outside, where everyone is eating breakfast. I would partake, but I have another breakfast date.
“There you are. You have three dates today and the elimination ceremony,” Sal says.
“I thought . . .”
“We’re doing one now, and then another after the other ten. And then the dates will pick up. You’re getting rid of two tonight.”
“Alright.”
Two guys. I don’t know any of them well enough to know if they are my Prince Charming.
I head to the tree where Brice is sitting on one of the couches they put out when we get ready to do an elimination ceremony.
“You can get rid of me,” he says.
“Why though?”
“I’m not the one for you,” he says. He has the same eyes as Dayton.
“Follow your heart, Timber.”
I only nod, unsure of myself at this moment.
“Places.” Sal claps. Carlton grips my shoulder in reassurance.
“Today, Timber has three dates. And then an elimination ceremony. Timber, are you ready to start the day?”
“I’m ready.” I smile at him. He knows it’s fake but nods.
“Timber, meet Ashton.” I know who he is. I tense when he comes near me. He’s one of the guys I sucked off at school. Told me I was so pretty and talked me into putting my mouth on him and then spread around what I did.
“Hello, Timber.” He’s putting on such an act.
Bye, Ashton.
