“Thank you,” I whisper, giving her a hug.
“Have fun,” she says, and she leaves me to finish dressing. I put my hair in a low bun since I’m going to be wearing a helmet.
I’m actually looking forward to this date.
I head outside and take a seat on the couch to wait.
“Hey.” Brice sits down beside me.
“Before you give me some zen lecture, I don’t care. He made his choice.”
“Alright.” He shakes his head. We turn to watch some of the guys sparring in the cage.
“I have to give credit to Shane. If I had all this shit in my yard, I might go crazy,” he says.
“He and Ivy bought a small house near Ever. They stay there during filming.”
“Smart.”
“I agree,” I say as Silas and Diego face off.
“That guy is huge. I’m surprised anyone will face off with him,” I murmur.
“He’s a beast in the ring. He’s undefeated.”
“I can see why. His lethal nature in the cage is vastly different to how he acts around you.”
“It’s war when you’re in the cage,” he says.
“I hear you.”
“Ready?” Axel holds his hand out and I grasp it.
“I am.”
“Change of plans. You can put on your Converse shoes.”
“Okay?”
“I decided to drive.”
“Oh.” I hand my boots to Brice, who raises his eyebrows at me. “Can you just have Ever put them in my room?”
“Alright. Have fun.”
“Where are we going?”
“Six Flags.”
“Oh yay!” I jump up and down like a little kid, causing Axel to laugh.
“Go put a tank top on so you don’t get hot.”
I do just that, choosing a floral wrap tank to go with my black distressed jeans and black Chucks.
“I’m ready.”
We get into Ever’s truck, and the camera crew follows.
