Everyone goes back to drinking and eating. I look over to see Plum yawn and I get the go ahead from Diablo to carry her inside.

“I’ll take you,” I tell her, and she smiles That smile goes straight to my heart.

“Thank you,” she lays her head on my shoulder as I carry her inside.

“She has her pills she’s supposed to take,” Capone says from behind me.

I lay her in bed and help her under the covers as Capone comes in with her pills and a glass of water.

“You’re not leaving?” she asks me.

“I’m not leaving you,” I tell her honestly.

“You’ll still be here in the morning?” I don’t get to respond since she’s asleep, her words trailing off.

“She’ll be out until morning,” Capone ushers me out the door and we head back outside.

“I won’t fuck up again,” I promise him.

“I know. Now, what to do about all of this,” he gestures to the land.

“Good questions for tomorrow. What about sleeping arrangements?” I ask him.

“James, in the stables, opened up a couple of stalls and set up cots. Sawyer went down and talked to him. There are rooms in the house that are unused. Zoe and Lyra can take the two across the hall. Noah can bunk with Gage.”

“I brought my camper,” Gator joins the conversation.

“You sure about leaving the inn?” I ask him.

“Can build a new one. I think this land has potential,” he says. He’s a good man and one of my best friends. Capone, Bones, Diablo, and Gator all started in the club around the same time. I love these guys.

“I think a lot of potential, here. Zoe could run a flower shop, or bakery, or something. After church, we need to talk to the women,” Gator states.

“I agree,” I yawn, I need sleep after that ride.

“You can sleep with her tonight,” Capone snorts.

“Thanks.”

“I’ll take care of getting these guys to bed,” he gestures to the rest of the club.

I walk back through the house and toward the woman I know I’m falling in love with. I slide under the covers after stripping down to my boxers and pull her close to me. For the first time in a long time, I sleep peacefully.

CHAPTERTWENTY-FOUR

Capone

It’s been a long time since I’ve partied like a young kid. I’m surprised that Plum and Zion slept through all the ruckus.

I sit up in the bed in one of the guest rooms. I claimed it early and told the other brothers to claim wherever they could.

We have a lot to get done today so I roll out of bed and hit the shower, wrapping the towel around my waist when done and pad down the hall to the master bedroom.

I open the door as softly as I can and see Plum is still out. I smile and pull the covers up as Zion comes out of the shower.

“Morning,” he greets me as he rifles through the bag Ziggy threw in here last night.

“Morning,” I go to my drawer and pull out boxer briefs and then find my jeans and a shirt to wear. We’re both dressed and in our cuts in no time.
