“She needs a pool,” Libra looks around the deck. She has the land for a couple pools. We could make the small lake fishing only and put a pool in for the Inn. We could put a couple up here and one down at the new clubhouse. I kind of agree with him.
“Make it happen,” I tell him. Libra works construction for his day job.
“And the clubhouse?” Capone asks.
“I think right here,” I point to a spot nestled in some trees, near the stables.
“Good idea.”
“We can make a back road to it, around the stables so the main house isn’t disturbed. Also, no girls up here at the main house,” I warn the guys.
“We will build apartments for those that don’t want to live in town. Also, Jace, you and Stetson find some storefronts. We will need to make money somehow, other than the Inn.”
“Yes, Prez.”
“A little help please,” we hear a feminine voice and turn to see Plum struggling to make her way outside.
Capone gets to her first. “We said we’d come get you. Why didn’t you text?”
“I thought you were still in your meeting but it looks to be almost over so I tried to do it on my own.”
“Don’t do that. You still have like a week or two with the casts,” Diablo scolds her.
“Breakfast?” I ask, knowing she’s hungry.
“Yes. Where is everyone?”
“Zoe is bringing food. The boys are fishing, Gator is figuring out the depth of the pond,” her dad joins us as I set down some fruit for her.
“I am going to call about a doctor today,” Diablo kisses her head and pulls out his phone.
“I kind of hope the doctor says my casts can come off. They’re itchy,” she complains and we all chuckle.
“Soon,” I assure her.
“Are you sure that you want to go through with this?” she asks us, gesturing to her land.
“What do you mean?” Zion asks.
“What about Black Bridge?”
“We can go where we want. It’s Zion’s club. Do you want to stay here?” I ask her.
“I do, but I like Louisiana.”
“It’s not that far, just a plane ride away,” her dad tells her.
“I don’t want to take these guys away from families or a life they had there,” she murmurs.
“The club voted. This is it. Mother chapter is here. We’ll have a chapter there. And we can visit whenever you want.”
“Okay.”
“Come on, little one. Let’s get you to the doctor and food after,” Diablo picks her up.
“He’ll see me today?”
“He said yes. I thought we could take Noah and Gage to get school clothes. Is that all right, Zoe?” He turns to ask the woman who just joined us, who set bags and bags of food down on the table.
