“What club were you in?”
My mind is reeling, because I knew a Pike. But this guy doesn’t look like the kid I once knew.
“Beasts but not anymore,” Pike shrugs.
“Papa Bear is here,” York says and then Pike looks at me.
“No fucking way,” Pike almost yells.
“Pike?” I whisper, disbelieving this is the same man.
“I should have known from the name,” he mumbles as he hugs me.
“Hurting me,” I chuckle as he sets me down quickly.
“Fuck, sorry.”
“You think someone told the doctor to tell us her injuries were worse than they were?” York asks.
“I do,” Pike nods.
“Come by the house. Meet the guys. We could use someone like you,” York tells him.
“I’ll stop by after work. I would apply ice packs to your injuries, help the healing process. Baths with Epsom salts. Just take it easy on the walking. I’ll get the saw to take off the casts.”
“I get my casts off,” I tell York. He grins.
“Been waiting for this day,” he smirks and all I can do is blush and giggle.
“I’m hungry too,” I say to steer the conversation away from that. I’m not even sure how it works with three men. I’m not a prude and I know they’re all packing, I’ve seen them in all their glory. I just don’t know if they really care, or this is just some damsel in distress thing.
“We can eat,” he chuckles as Pike comes back in with the tool to take them off.
“Since you haven’t showered, it will smell a little bit, but I have wipes to help until you can get home.”
“Thank you.” He cuts the casts off. He’s right, but it wasn’t an unbearable smell. York gave me my sponge bath and helped me into my shoes that Gage remembered to grab for me on the way out.
“We’ll be having a BBQ. Our SGT-at-Arms brought some gators up with him to grill. The whole club along with the Beasts who crossed over are up here.”
“Even Cowboy?” That was directed at me.
“Yeah, we’re not together anymore,” I look at York.
“Who is Cowboy?” York asks.
“Sawyer,” I tell York, who sneers a little bit. Still some bad blood there.
“Not a fan?” Pike chuckles.
“He was part of the reason I was kidnapped, he’s trying to redeem himself,” I tell Pike.
“Fill me in?” Pike asks York who nods.
“I’ll see you guys tonight,” Pike waves as we walk out to gather the others and head to the big city to the mall.
“You’re walking?” Gage looks shocked.
“Yeah,” I grin.
