“She didn’t and she was mad,” Dixon adds, knowing his wife is a truly horrible bitch by now, though I think he knew that when Plum was taken the first time.
“So was Ricardo. He put all his time and effort into this woman who lied to him,” the man replies.
“She didn’t lie, no one knew he was giving it to Plum until the day of the reading,” Trick jumps in. He’s spent a lot of time with Lyra.
“True. For years, she promised that when Plum came into the money so would he. Lyra went to LA, Plum followed, and since she had a club looking out for her, he left her alone. He moved on to other endeavors, but Martha wanted that money, so she kept at it. She tried to weasel her way in, she even tried to take over, turn Ricardo’s own family against him, just to rile him up enough to do something. Then he did. He knew Sawyer had a problem and knew how to get him away from Plum. He followed her to Louisiana. He then had Sawyer hire those thugs to become a mock MC. Sawyer knew that if you thought it was the Beasts, you wouldn’t be looking for the other threat.”
“Which worked,” Sawyer chimes in.
“Ricardo did sell Plum to Santorini, but he never wanted to harm her.”
“Why did he?”
“Because her mother is a bitch. Her mother would get the guys to do all those things to her,” he points at Beck who nods.
“None of us wanted to do it, and we drugged her, so she thought she was being sexually assaulted. We might have used our fingers, but we never had sex, we made her think that. The mind will play tricks on us when we’re scared. We didn’t want her killed, or ourselves. Ricardo hated that she was being hit, and he threatened all of us to stay away from the face. Then she was rescued, Ricardo captured. We thought we all could go back to our own families, but Santorini took over.”
“Who was really making the calls?” Zion wonders out loud.
“You guys think that Ricardo and Santorini are the leaders of the cartel, you’re wrong. It’s Martha.”
“What the fuck?” Dixon gasps.
“How does Martha become the head of the cartel?” Sawyer asks, shocked like the rest of us.
“She’s a biker’s wife, a mother, and housewife living in Florida,” Dixon snaps.
“What did she do for work?” the man asks.
“She was a bookkeeper,” and Dixon trails off.
“Martha was married briefly to my dad, Ricardo’s brother, before she met you. She left to escape the cartel but evidently the lure of money and power was too much to leave behind. My father let her go with the stipulation that I stayed with him. When my father died, Ricardo took over and since I was the true heir, Martha saw her chance and started working her way back in.It didn’t take long before she was making the calls. She always thought this land should be hers. That’s why she was always on Ricardo when he wanted to give up on this land. My dad wanted it because he was friends with the old man. Ricardo was not, though they had an understanding. Martha just wanted the land and money, no matter what.My mother is a bitch that needs to be put down,” the man says.
“What the hell? You’re Plum’s half-brother?” Zion asks.
“I am. I’m sorry for what happened to her. I was only told that they used tricks to make her believe she was being assaulted sexually.“
“Plum thinks there are other girls,” I point out.
“Martha told Plum that if she acted out, the other girls would get it worse,” Dom states.
“Where were you when your sister was being beaten?”
“I was sent on errands, like to get food or go get supplies. I didn’t know that Plum was even taken until right before she was rescued. I left the doors opened on purpose when I knew you were coming.”
“You knew we were coming?” Diablo asks.
“Sawyer reached out,” he nods at the man.
“Why shouldn’t we kill you?” Zion snaps.
“Because he’s family,” we all hear from Plum.
“Little one, this is club business,” Zion scolds.
“But he’s our brother,” she stomps her foot, and I would laugh because it was cute, but now is not the time.
“She’s right,” Dixon steps up.
