Was she really ready for this, though?

To commit to him time and time again?

To let him into her heart that thoroughly?

“Yes,”she finally relented, realizing she had no choice. Somehow, some way, she had fallen in love.“I will allow you the pleasure of having me life after life.”

He no sooner grinned than bright red fire burst around them, and their more tempered sides rose to the surface.

“Vicar,”she cried, fearful for him. Terrified the enemy was finally overwhelming him.“Don’t leave me. Don’t go.”

“I’m not going anywhere.”He rested his dragon cheek against hers.“And I’m not in any more pain.”

That’s when she realized what was happening.

What these flames meant.

“Oh my God, this is it, isn’t it?”Peaceful warmth rushed over her, followed by a sharp thrill.“We’re Forging in Fire, aren’t we?”

“We are.”His tender eyes met hers.“However strangely they went about it when our other halves finally accepted they loved each other and were willing to commit, the Forge began.”

While she had never been so happy, she worried.

“And the enemy?”She stared up at the brutal flames of Múspellsheimr mixed with the wondrous brightening effects of Alfheim.“Where is...”

She trailed off as the flames ignited something in her and Vicar. A slow burn that combusted into magic far more powerful than what they had possessed before.

Magic born of both Alfheim and Múspellsheimr.

The fire faded, and Violence, deprived of the connection he’d had with their Múspellsheimr sides, deprived of their inner conflict and exposed to their new magic, hovered vulnerable, immobile, and weak above them. Everyone was there watching. Waiting. Not just kin but Múspellsheimr dragons and Ancients alike.

What would they do next?

How would they handle such a god?

Trap him or end him now?

Because they could do that. They hadthatmuch power between them. So much power, the Celtic gods were in big trouble now.

One Celtic god in particular.

“I have the perfect idea,”she said, her Múspellsheimr side alive and well inside her.

“Me too,”he replied, his Múspellsheimr half right there as well.

“One more night first, though?”she wondered.“Give everyone time to prepare?”

“Ja.” His impressive erection hadn’t lessened a bit nor the lust in his gaze.“One more night.”

A night that would be the last peace anyone enjoyed before they set their end-of-war plan in motion.
