The angel backhanded me, sending me back to the dirt. “Look around you, child. Youarehome. Others will join you soon.”

“Others?”

“Boys just like you,” he responded. “Sons of the fallen.”

When the other boys arrived, some trembling in fear and one with light gray eyes who glared at everyone, I felt something stir inside me. It was like I’d been waiting for them before I even knew who they were. And with that, a fire awoke. A determination.

The boys became my brothers. We trained together every day. Leaned on each other. And when the day came to stand against our fathers and defeat Lucifer… we left the boys behind and did what needed to be done.

Chapter One

Castor

Present Day

Fast cars, hot guys, and gambling made for an awesome Friday night.

I revved the engine of my Lykan Hypersport and smirked over at the passenger in the car beside me. He nodded once. The driver snarled before focusing on the road, waiting for the signal to take off.

We were on a side street on the outskirts of town, preparing to race after an evening of partying. Some shit-talking might’ve happened over a game of poker in the back room of the club, which then led to this moment.

“You sure you don’t want to back out?” I asked over the noise of the rumbling engines.

Sterling, the werewolf I was about to race, gave me the one-finger salute.

“Suit yourself. But don’t come crying to me when I kick your ass.”

“Don’t worry about me, feather boy,” Sterling grumbled. “You might have a fancy car, but can you drive it?”

“You’re about to find out, mutt.”

He grinned.

“What are the stakes?” Raiden asked from the passenger seat. He wore his hat backward, no shirt. Claw marks covered his chest from when he fucked a cat shifter earlier. The marks were quickly fading though.

“If he wins, he gets to top me. If I win, I get his ring.”

“Hisfamilyring?” Raiden laughed. “Why the fuck do ya want that?”

I shrugged. “It’s shiny.”

Jasper, the cat shifter Raiden boned, walked in front of my car, tossing me a wink. He was in his human form but still had a tail. It flicked back and forth as he strutted to the center of the street, his booty shorts showing the bottom curve of his ass cheeks. His long, toned legs looked damn good with the heeled boots he wore. And his thick thighs were to die for.

“Ready, boys?” Jasper asked with a purr in his voice. He took off his shirt and held it above his head, striking a sexy little pose.

“Let’s do this,” Raiden said, then whooped as he slapped the top of the car.

My grip tightened on the wheel as I moved my other hand to the gearshift, gaze on the road. The route was kind of dangerous with the sharp turn up ahead and the narrow bridge beyond it. That just added to the fun.

“Go!” Jasper brought down the shirt.

Tires squealed as both cars took off. A rush of adrenaline shot through my veins as I went from zero to sixty in 2.8 seconds, then faster still. Raiden hollered in excitement, and wind came through the open windows, whipping my hair around.

Fuck, I loved this.

Sterling drove a souped-up Mustang and handled her well as we reached the first sharp curve. The cars drifted a little, then shot forward when we hit another straightaway.

“Where are you?”Alastair asked through our mind link. We had the ability to communicate telepathically. Just one of the perks of being connected by our angelic bloodlines.
