“Watch yourself.” Alastair’s icy-blue eyes burned into me. “If you’re reconsidering this alliance, I have no issue throwing you back on the street. You and your group of hunters are a valuable asset, yet we’d be fine without you. Don’t forget that.”
“Al.” Gray’s gaze flickered between the two of us. “Stop fighting. I don’t like it.”
“He’s your human,” Alastair told Gray. “Keep him in line, or I’ll have no choice but to take care of matters myself.”
“I remember that lecture,” a deep voice said from behind me. Galen walked into the room with Simon close to his side. “You said the same thing when I brought Simon home. Threatened us both.”
“Simon!” Gray exclaimed, rushing over to him. He hugged him tight.
Alastair scowled at Galen. “Your mate was, and still is, harmless. But you—” He narrowed his eyes at me. “—need to watch yourself.”
I refused to let this prideful bastard get under my skin. Much. “Trust and respect go both ways.”
“You have to earn my trust, human,” Alastair responded.
“Okay. Enough of this.” Raiden slung an arm across my shoulders. “Go put on your best clothes and prepare to party.”
“We’re not partying,” Alastair said. “This trip isn’t for pleasure.”
“Says you.” Bellamy stood beneath the archway that led into the arcade. “I plan to get fucked good tonight. Pleasure all the way.”
Alastair rolled his eyes and left the room, mumbling under his breath about pests.
“Hey, Mason?” Gray peered up at me. “Try to keep an open mind tonight, ’kay? I know it’s hard. Believe me. But I wouldn’t lie to you.”
“I’ll try.” Trying was the best I could do. I couldn’t promise anything more than that.
He frowned.
“What?”
That frown then stretched to a grin, and he grabbed me by the arm, leading me out of the room. I stared at the back of his blond hair as he took me up the stairs and to his Sleepy Den.
“On the bed,” he said, pushing against my chest.
My ass hit the mattress.
“Good human.” Gray stepped between my legs and grabbed my face with both hands, his brown eyes darkening with a hunger I recognized.
There were two very distinct sides to Gray: a sweet, somewhat innocent side that loved furry little animals, naps, that Dino-Pete thing, and everything cute. And thenthisside, one where he oozed sex appeal and wasn’t afraid to take charge.
“We don’t have much time, so we gotta be quick,” he said, tugging off his hoodie, shirt with it, and tossing it to the floor. My eyes trailed down his bare torso. Though he was small framed, he had nice muscle definition—a toned belly and sexy little dips that sunk below his waistline.
I wanted to trace them with my tongue.
My heart rate spiked. I had fucked him earlier that day, but god, I wanted more. More of his touch and his kisses that set me on fire. Just more of him. Period.
Gray swiped his tongue across the seam of my mouth. “Do you have a unicorn in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?”
I barked out a laugh, taken off guard. Fuck it was addicting. His bubbly personality. His wit. And the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled, cheeks nearly swallowing them.
“You think it’s a good idea to do this with your brothers around?” I gripped his lean waist. “Have to admit, they’re kind of a boner killer.”
He giggled before nipping at my bottom lip. He slid a hand down my stomach and cupped my dick through my jeans. “Your boner feels fine to me. Not dead at all.”
I kissed him, heavily exhaling through my nose. A sign of my utter defeat when it came to him. I’d never felt anything like it before, the way my body responded to Gray. Pulse quickening, heart thumping harder, and hot electricity coursing through my veins. Not to mention the damn flutters in my stomach.
“You give me butterflies,”Gray had said once.
