Castor:Depends on the car. Nothing can hold a candle to my Lykan Hypersport. Only seven were ever made.

Baxter:Not sure if you know this or not, but you Nephilim brothers have gained a decent following. I asked some of your fans to submit questions, and this one was for you: now that you’re mated, what’s your favorite thing to hoard?

Castor:[blinks] Fans? Don’t tell Al. His big head will get even bigger. Unless he has less fans than me. In that case, please let me be the one to tell him.

Baxter:Answer my questions and then you can go tell him whatever you want.

Castor:Hmm. I wouldn’t say I hoard anything. I love my sports cars and bling. [touches his lip ring] But I gotta say, I love buying jewelry and clothes for Kyo. Seeing him wear something I bought makes me happy.

Baxter:So in other words, you’re saying your new favorite thing is spoiling your mate? I guess that’s a good segue into my next question. What’s the most expensive gift you’ve ever given Kyo?

Castor:Besides me? [grins] Kyo beats me up if I spend too much money on him. He prefers things that have meaning behind them, not dollar signs. His favorite thing is a necklace with a dragon pendant. I bought it for him on your island from a lady selling trinkets.

Baxter:He still wears it too, doesn’t he?

Castor:Yeah. Any other questions? All this talk about Kyo is making me want to go wake him up for a morning delight. If ya know what I mean.

Baxter:I know your meaning quite well. It’s the one thing I miss about the war—the dragon armies being on the island. Dragons can do things with their tongues that make my eyes roll back. But anyway. Moving on. Now that the war’s over, what’s the plan?

Castor:Kyo was away from his family for, like, fifty years before meeting me. My rebellious little dragon. He has some catching up with them to do. The plan is to stay in the palace. Tatsuya asked if we’d help him reach out to the other dragon clans and begin mending the bonds that were broken during the dragon war so long ago. Tensions with the ice dragons have eased, thanks to Warrin, but there’s still a long way to go.

Baxter:So you’re not completely finished with a warrior’s life?

Castor:I see it more like politics. But if anyone dares raise a sword to my mate, I’ll shove mine through their chest. Simple as that.

Baxter:Interesting. You still haven’t fixed the hole in my study where you threw your dagger at the wall.

Castor:Consider it a token of our friendship. Something to fondly remember me by.

Baxter:Oh yeah? Much like that gaping hole where your mouth should be. Does it ever close? Inquiring minds want to know.

Castor:[flips me off and walks away]

Interview Notes:While less grumpy than Galen, Castor still has an attitude. Poking at him is too fun. If not for him, I may not have ever allied with the cursed sons, so in a way, I’m in his debt. Gods know what Asa would’ve done to the Nephilim on my island if we hadn’t been prepared for the war. But being in Greed’s debt is… unfavorable, so I’ll never admit this to him.

Daman:

Envy Tells All

Baxter:Good morning. It’s not too early, is it? I know how grouchy you are in the mornings, so I made sure to have coffee ready.

Daman:[takes a sip of coffee]

Baxter:Wow. How you manage to look so menacing as you glare at me over the rim of your mug is admirable. Especially since the mug has cute kittens on it.

Daman:Is there a point to this meeting?

Baxter:Ah, one sip and he speaks. Good. That’s progress. Speaking of kittens, that’s your nickname, right? Warrin calls you kotya.

Daman:Yeah. Warcalls me kotya. You? I’ll cut you for it.

Baxter:How interesting. Will you cut me with your cute little kitten claws?

Daman:[sets mug aside while glaring]

Baxter:Just kidding! Don’t pounce on me. Grab your mug and take another drink. This is an interview, and you’re the star. Exciting, right? I bet Envy likes that.

Daman:Envy likes snuggling Warrin. Being here with you just pisses him off. Me too. [looks at the mug] This is good coffee though. You have until I finish it to ask questions, then I’m leaving.
