He kissed me. It was soft and slow. Heartachingly tender. “Your lips,” he whispered against them. “Kissing them always gives me butterflies.”

He gave them to me too.

“Walk with me.”

Hand in hand, we found the path through the trees that led down to the beach. The moon shone on the white sand, and the crashing waves sounded like a distant chorus of applause.

Raiden approached the water’s edge, a faint smile curving his lips. He gently squeezed my hand. “Ti?” He looked over at me, smile widening. The moonlight made his light blue eyes even paler and emphasized the exhilaration shining through them. Tears shone in them too. “We really made it. Out of the storm and to the other side. And fuck is it beautiful.”

A ball of emotion tightened in my throat. I didn’t have words right then, so I brought his mouth to mine and pressed our lips together. Mine trembled against his. His did the same. The sound of the waves surrounded us as we kissed.

“I still love you more than pizza,” he softly said. That tremble reflected in his voice.

When I laughed, it was rough. “I love you too. So damn much.”

And I would keep loving him. Keep living with him in this paradise we’d made for ourselves, not taking a single second for granted.

The End

Alastair & Lazarus

A glimpse into their happily ever after.

Alastair

Being kissed by an angel had never felt so deliciously sinful.

Lazarus’ mouth crashed against mine as he took me harder, his cock hitting that special place inside me. Each hard thrust sent electric pulses throughout my body, the ripples building and strengthening into something I was certain would detonate sooner rather than later.

“You feel so good,” he murmured between kisses. “So perfect.”

My sin preened at the praise. But the words that sent me—and Pride—over the edge?

“My good boy,” Lazarus then whispered, driving into me faster.

Pleasure ignited in my core and shot through me at the speed of light. I cried out and gripped his sides, my fingertips digging into his heated skin. He followed me, grunting under his breath as he shuddered, thrusts faltering as his hips jerked.

As our bodies started to calm, he softly trailed his lips up my neck. His actions said more than words ever could. He cherished every inch of me. Loved me. And gods, did I feel the same about him. I wrapped my arms tighter around him.

Our history was painful. Because of him being forced to seal our fated mate bond, we had lost so many years where we could’ve been happy. But that bond surged between us now, stronger than ever. And with each rising of the sun, we were making up for those lost years.

Lazarus and I had built a home together in the celestial realm. I was happier there than I ever thought possible.

“When do you have to leave?” I asked, my voice still raspy from having just woken not long ago. The angel in my arms had kissed me awake before touching me in all the right places that set my blood on fire. Morning sex had become common with us. So had afternoon sex and frotting beneath the waterfall behind our home.

We lived in a paradise of love and pleasure, the two going hand in hand.

“Soon,” Lazarus answered, rolling off me. He pulled me to his side and kissed my hair. “The war with Lucifer is over, but we watchers of the realms must remain vigilant.”

Lazarus still held his position as a commander of the celestial army. Michael was the only angel from the warrior class who outranked him. They might not have actively been at war, but the threat of one was never far. There was too much evil in the universe to ever be completely at peace. Lazarus and his warriors were responsible for protecting the realms from that evil.

However, he always made time for me amongst his training and duties as a commander.

“Any news on Purah or Vepar?” I asked. They had vanished after the battle in Echo Bay.

“I’m not at liberty to divulge that information.”

I scoffed. “You can’t be serious. After all we’ve been through together, after all the years of me following your orders and protecting humankind from threats, you can’t tell me?”
