Watching her get off on killing, all while I made her cum, is my new favorite thing. Should I get attached? Fuck no, I’m literally trapped in a fucking spider's body… for now anyway.I’ll reap the benefits while they last.Plus, it's a spider she named Deadly of all things, guess it seems fitting.
“We have one job, Kai. Sav wants payment from all those who wronged her, so we can’t let her down. Don’t go letting your dick get in the way of that,” Sadie chimes in next to me as we make our way back to the house, Quinn in tow.
“I fucking know this; Sav is the one who summoned me here. I’ll do her bidding, and only because all of these pricks deserve what’s coming to them.” I smile sinisterly. And I can’t wait to keep the torture going in hell, where they all belong.
Arriving back at Quinn’s, it never fails, Jeremy and Tatum are always yelling at one another. It’s better than the nights they yell at Quinn, or put their hands on her. Those are the days it's harder for me to keep it together.Apparently she’s not quite the daughter they expected her to be.
She was supposed to be cheer captain and one of the Queen B’s. That’s the complete opposite of the girl I’ve seen, she’s all ripped jeans and loose t-shirts, with Vans or Converse on her feet. Curses like a sailor and will crash out on you so fast you won’t even know what happened. I guess that’s what makes her better than them; maybe that’s what attracts me to her. She has this beautiful bright light about her but a lot of darkness to her too.
“Mmm, how’d we get back here?” Quinn asks sleepily right as we lay her down on the bed.
“Don’t worry, my little Quinn Reaper. Rest your pretty head, and we will talk again tomorrow. I’ll watch over you and hide if I see your parents; they still can’t know about me. It’s our little secret,” Sadie whispers, and sometimes that damn doll creeps me out. Quinn just hums a response and passes right back out. Sadie hums her little creepy tune to her again, whispering all the dark desires Sav wants from her.
I crawl up the bed into Quinn’s hair, watching as she sleeps. Her breaths come out even, like she’s in a deep sleep already. This girl is constantly being put through it, whether it be with her parents or the bullshit she puts up with at school. That’s all about to change though, and I’ll be there to help her make sure every last one of them suffers.
The door creaking open wakes me from what sleep I do get. Her dad quietly steps in and walks up to her bed, hovering over her body, he leans down.
“You were a mistake. I thought you would fix us, but you made us worse. Savannah will never let us be happy,” he whispers, and that just fuels the fire burning inside me. How could you ever tell your kid they are a mistake? He grabs the pillow beside her head and covers her face with it. “Just go to sleep, never wake up, and this will all stop,” he whisper-shouts as Quinn thrashes in the bed.
I lunge for his hand and bite down, releasing the venom in my fangs just as Sadie appears from her hiding space. Jumping onto his shoulders, she starts ripping at his hair. Jeremy lets go of the pillow and stumbles back, but before Quinn manages to sit up to see what’s going on, Sadie starts her lullaby.
“The deadly little spider crept out of Sadie’s hair,
Spun a web of torment–and you never spoke again.
Shadows drowned the room, the final light was gone,
Pray you never see him. And if you do… don’t scream.”
“Remember, we can’t kill him. He’s for her,” I state, trying to glare my beady eyes at her.
“Ugh, trust me, I know. As much as I want to wrap my hands around his throat or let my Quinn Reaper kill him. I know Sav wants this and deserves this more,” Sadie replies as Jer stumbles around trying to get his shit together.
“Who’s there? Show your face!” he shouts, looking around the room in a panic.
“We’ll never tell,” Sadie taunts and begins laughing sinisterly. Enough so it sends a chill up my spine.
He takes off out of the room, slamming the bedroom door closed behind him. Looking back at Quinn once again, that damn tune has knocked her right the fuck out.
“Well, we knew her parents were shitty, but damn,” is all I huff out, because I have seen her parents put her through a lot of shit, but this is a whole new level.
“Savannah told us they weren’t good people. She wouldn’t lie. Definitely wouldn’t go through all the trouble she has to create us if they were,” Sadie says, crawling into bed right next to Quinn. So much for staying hidden, I guess.
Chapter 4 - Quinn
Rolling over the next morning, I sit at the edge of my bed trying to motivate myself to get up. Reaching up to rub my head, but everything feels so foggy, like the night before is just a blur. Standing, I look down and my hands are covered in blood. I stare at them, flipping them over and over. Like that’ll change anything.
“What the fuck?” I gasp and rush to the bathroom that connects to my bedroom.
“Don’t worry, my little Quinn Reaper, it’ll wash off in the shower,” Sadie says, and it causes me to jump.
“You guys just can’t help yourselves, huh?” I reply, spinning on my heels to look at her as she stands in the doorway.
Her long black hair cascading down the front of her face. It's at this moment I decide she gives me Grudge vibes. Maybe not as creepy, but pretty damn close. Then, to make it even creepier, the damn spider comes crawling out of her hair.Oh, for God’s sake.
“Clean yourself up. We have lots to do today,” he says, and I can hear him clear as day. No more voices ringing through my head.
“Do you even have a name? Also, if you could talk to me the whole time, why not just do that instead of making me feel crazy?” I shoot back and cross my arms over my chest.
