“That sounds nice.”

“It will be better than nice. It would include flowers and candy and maybe a toy, as well, because I know you would appreciate that more than anything.”

“But wait....” he began.

“Yes?”

“I don't need stuff. I like the idea of the suit, though. But what I do need, I think, is just you.”

“But there's something you should know about me first. I love to wine and dine my dates. But with you, all the icing and all of the sprinkles.” I winked at him. “And the cherry on top.”

His face grew pink as he understood my meaning.

“I would like that.”

“I'll make you more than like it.”

His eyes sparkled. He still hadn’t put his glasses back on. Suddenly, he frowned.

“What's that about?” I asked.

“Are you going to make me wait until after the new year for this date? It seems a long way off.”

“Hmm. You're right. We're not prisoners here. I have a car. You have a car. We can leave the property and go out anytime we wish. Would you like to set a date?”

He pressed his lips tightly together. Then nodded. “Soon.”

I laughed. “I was thinking the very same thing.” That was the truth. The hunger inside me for this young man was already growing to proportions I did not enjoy avoiding. It took every conviction I had inside me to to hold back from taking him right here on Trent's fuzzy rug for anyone to walk in on and see.

But there was a second deeper truth I wanted to make a reality. Rivi deserved a soft bed and a daddy who would take his time with him. Get to know him. Mentally, emotionally, and finally physically. I wanted him vulnerable to me in all ways. That required a luxury I enjoyed providing. I wasn't interested in Rivi for a Christmas quickie.

I could already tell he had gotten into my heart somehow in the past couple of days. All those sweet looks, his open and honest questions, and the way he sought me out from the very beginning when I sat next to him at our first dinner as guests. Actually, Trent had seen it before I did. I’d held back because of Trent, but nature took over. There was a magnetism between us right at the start. And after those amazing kisses, a chemistry that could not be beat.

I leaned toward him and gave him a light kiss on the forehead right between two corkscrew curls. “How about a Christmas date? Tomorrow night. It just so happens I did bring my best suit with me. We're out in the country but there are places we canfind where I can take you for a wonderful meal. Trent’s cook is fantastic, but if we stayed here, we wouldn't truly be alone.”

His eyes lit up even more. “A Christmas date? I’d love that.” He puffed out his chest. “All right, then, sir. What time will you be calling on me?”

“Shall we say five o’clock?”

“Yes. I'll be ready.” He looked down at his cute onesie pajamas. “But I don't know what to wear.”

“What did you bring?”

“Stuff for the party after Christmas. Like another onesie.” He looked like he was starting to blush again. “It leaves the legs bare.”

“I would love to see you in that. But I think a pair of pants would be more proper for dinner, don't you?” I grinned at him.

“I brought a pair of black jeans and a long-sleeved sweater. But not a suit. Hey, maybe I could borrow one from Ozzy.”

“You two are about the same size. But I don't want you to worry too much about what to wear. What you said sounds great. I could help you pick out something if you like. That's what daddies do for their boys.”

“I'd like that very much.”

“And now it's getting late. Let's take these dishes to the kitchen. And then I'll walk you to your room. Does that sound good?”

“I hate for this night to end.”

“Me, too. But Santa doesn't come if good boys aren't asleep in bed.”
