Adrian shook his head just slightly. "I just hope the new one isn't going to give me as much trouble as those two," he said, but I didn't need Lowen's abilities to see that he loved his children all the same.

"So the new one's a boy too, huh?" Lowen joined in on the conversation.

"Yeah. Would you like to see him? He's adorable. Oy, Ty, get over here," Adrian called for his mate before we could even respond. It seemed his mate was on baby-duty, because he was carrying a cute little bundle in his arms as he approached us.

"You were right," I said to Adrian as I studied his baby. He had these big brown eyes and a tiny little nose. "He's super adorable. What's his name?"

"Salbei," Ty answered my question. He was a tall, dark-haired dragon, and one I might have been a little intimidated by if he hadn't been carrying a baby. "We named him after my great-grandfather." He glanced at his mate. "We're kind of running out of family names to use."

"That's fine." Adrian leaned up to press a quick kiss to his lips. "I think I'm done anyway."

"Really?" Lowen asked, a hint of surprise in his voice. "I thought you were gonna keep going until you had a daughter."

Adrian smiled at him. "Well... I do have a daughter. We were just, um..." He looked at his mate.

Ty pointed at the children's table. "That's our little girl."

I squinted. Therewasa little girl sitting next to the boys. She looked younger than the twins, but they all had the same dark hair and dark eyes. "That dress is super cute." It had a panda print on it.

"You wouldn't believe how many dresses Adrian has bought her," Ty said. "And she only told us she was a girl a week ago."

Told us? Oh. Slowly it was dawning on me what was going on. Adrian's thirdsonhad come out as female to him. And they were rolling with it. Lowen and I exchanged glances, and then smiles. Without asking him, I knew, Ty and Adrian were the sort of parents we wanted to be too.

"Thank you for being so accepting," I said in a soft voice.

My gratitude must have appeared strange to Adrian and his mate, but my new friend only grinned at me. "Of course," he said. "We can't really choose who our kids are going to be, can we? But I'm happy.We'rehappy."

"Yes, we are," Ty confirmed, kissing the side of his mate's head.

"What are you calling her?" Lowen asked.

"Esper," Adrian said.

"Is that also a family name?"

Adrian laughed. "No, we just think it's pretty and she agrees. Tradition isn't everything, you know?"

I nodded.

I certainly knew.

Lowen

We were flyingthrough the sky on the way back from Adrian's when my mate suddenly fell silent on top of me. We'd been in the middle of a conversation, discussing dragon naming conventions and what we were going to name our children when they were born when he simply stopped talking.

"C'mon," I said. "Thymian isn'tthathorrible a name."

But I got the feeling the name wasn't what he was reacting to.

That suspicion was confirmed when I felt the omegaslide off my backa mere moment later.

Fuck!

Zim was falling!

Heart beating at least five miles a minute, I swooped down to catch him with my claw.
