A beaming grin crossed his face, green eyes twinkling.
“Okay, then,” he said. “If you really want to do this, I gratefully accept your offer.”
I beamed a smile of my own as my heartbeat pumped violently. I had no idea why I was doing this. It was probably a bad idea to spend time with Seth, considering the way I reacted around him.
But I’d been telling the truth when I said he was my friend. I wasn't going to let him fail for a second time. Not if I could help him.
If I kept my attraction to myself, everything would be fine.
Seth reached out and put his hand over mine, squeezing.
“Thank you,” he said softly. “I really appreciate this.”
My cheeks pinked against my will.
What the hell had I gotten myself into?
