“Thank you.” I said as we stood next to my car.
Walker’s hands found my waist easily in the dim parking lot and he pulled me against him. My breath caught in my throat. “I’ve waited all night for this and I’m finally taking what’s mine.” He said before his lips found mine in the dark and everything in my life, everything that had felt missing or out of sorts, clicked into place.
He kissed the ever-living shit out of me and I loved every panty dropping second.
CHAPTER FOUR
Luca
One lookand she caught me in her web.
One touch and she spun me all around.
One kiss and I couldn’t let go.
And tonight, I wasn’t letting her go without one.
I dipped my head low and brought my mouth to hers, not hesitating to cover it with my own.
I wanted her to know, no needed her to know, that she was mine and there was no going back.
We kissed and kissed under the yellow moonlight and when we broke apart, both of us panting and Elora clutching my shirt, silence fell between us as our breaths evened out and slowed.
I kissed her softly once more and whispered, “Goodnight.” before getting into my truck, watching her climb safely into her car, and drove home, realizing after our entire night together, I never got her number. Good thing she wasn’t far.
Sleep didn’t bless me that night even after jerking off to the thought of her again and again, as if I were seventeen again and full of raging hormones. When my alarm went off at seven, myeyes barely cracked open, but somehow, I poured coffee down my throat. After a quick shower, I ran out the door and drove to Appleridge Sweets, scoring a few of the apple cinnamon muffins.
When I sat in the break room at Elora’s shop yesterday, I saw the container with the label and figured it was the orgasmic muffins Gracie had raved about.
With the muffins secured, I drove to her shop. While it wasn’t open yet, she parked her car in the same spot as yesterday, confirming what I hoped- she was here. With coffee and muffins in hand, I walked over to the front door and tried the handle. It was locked this time. Good, she remembered.
I knocked and waited, hearing her footsteps a few moments later. When she opened the door, her mouth dropped open. “Walker! I didn’t expect to see you so early.”
“I know, I’m sorry. I couldn’t wait. But I brought lots of treats.” I held up the box and grinned. “Your favorite muffins!”
Elora gasped. “How did you know?” she waved me inside and I walked through the door, closing it behind me.
“A true gentleman doesn’t tell his secrets.” I said as I followed behind her to the break room in the back.
“So, is that why you came by? To bring me muffins?”
“Yes. And to...I don’t know…hang out together? Is that okay?”
“But I thought you said you hate Halloween.”
“It’s growing on me.”
Elora snickered. “No way.”
“Well, maybe it will if I get to spend the day here with you. You know, considering you have a lot of work to do if you think you’re going to get me to like Halloween.” I placed the muffins and coffees down on the table.
“Don’t lie, you already like it.” She teased. “I planted the seeds, my friend.”
“If it means getting to spend the day with you, you can plant anything you want.”
“Anything? Are you sure about that?”
“Mmhmm,” I mumbled before grabbing her waist and pulling her body against mine. Her soft curves felt so nice against my hard, rough exterior, and I never wanted to let her go.Ever.“And there’s something I have in mind that I think you might like…”
