“It was always you, Miles. Now, fuck me, and make me yours.”

Chapter 25

Miles

Iwasn’treallysure what happened. One minute, we were playing chess. Thenext minute, we’d stripped out of our clothes, and Sofia was bent over the back of the couch while I fucked her from behind.

We hadn’tevengotten halfway through the game.

The problem was, I couldn’t keep my hands off her. Not after she’d admittedthatit had always been me whom she’d wanted.

Theo’s memory still hovered in the back of my mind, and with it, camepangs of guilt. While I was over the fucking moon to learn Sofia had wanted me sincethatnight, and not Theo, it didn’t change how Theo had felt about her.

She explainedthatfor every question Theo had asked her about herself, she’d told him nothing but lies, andthatthe woman Theo thought she was didn’t actually exist, yet guilt continued to linger, and I suspected it would for a long time to come.

But I wasn’t going to let it ruin what we were building.

Apparently, all it had taken for my brain to get its ass into gear was the fearof losing her.

Her cunt clenched around my cock, and I slapped her ass, enjoying the cryshe squealed. If I hadn’t been so focused on making her come, I would have heard the telltale beep of the security system unlocking. It was onlywhen the door swung open and none other than Riley stormed into the bunker.

“What the fuck!”I bellowed, freezing mid-thrust.

“Oh shit!”Riley shrieked, rapidly covering her eyes.

“What the fuck are you doing here?”

I slipped out of Sofia, grabbing her T-shirt from where I’d thrown it onto thefloor before helping her into it and pulling my boxers on.

“I came to let you guys outta here,”Riley grinned, unable to hide heramusement.“Hey, this reminds me of the time you walked in on me and Kai when we were naked.”

“You saw Riley naked?”Sofia said, glaring at me.

“Who saw my wife naked?”the unmistakable voice of Kai boomed as theman himself walked through the door.

He looked at Riley peeking through the gaps in her fingers to Sofia’sdisheveled hair, and finally to me, where I stood without a top on. An accomplished smirk spread over his lips, and my fists clenched with the need to pummel his fucking face in.

“What did I tell you, Star. Theyjustneeded a little bit of time alone.Maybe we should leave them to it.”

Red mist clouded my vision, and I marched over to him, throwing my fist inhis direction.“You motherfucker!”

He caught my punch with ease, twisting my wrist around until it almostcracked.“Are youreallycomplaining? Looks to me like you got your head out of your ass like I told you to.”

I ripped my hand from his grasp, pain searing my arm, and adding fuel to theburning rage pumping through me.“Fuck you, Kai.”I shoved him, making him take a step back.“You have no idea what your fucked up plan did to Sofia, she almost fucking-”

“Miles,”Sofia’s soft pleading reached my ears a second before I blurtedthatshe’d almost killed herself. I twisted in her direction, and she gave a subtle shake of her head, silently asking me not to tell them what had happened.

My jaw clenched as I turned back to Kai.“You had no right to interfere inour lives, and you had no fucking right to lock us in here,”I snarled, the need to punchsomethingstill romping through me.“Get the fuck out of my sight, I’ve got nothing more to say to you.”I turned my furious gaze to Riley.“To either of you.”

“Speak to my wife likethatagain and-”Kai hissed, all traces of humor gone.

“Oh, quit the bullshit, Kai,”Riley snapped, propping her hand on her hip.“Miles has every right to be pissed at you; you should never have pulled this shit.I’mpissed at you for what you did.”Her features softened when she turned to Sofia.“I promise you, I only found out an hour agothatyou guys were locked in here, and as soon as I found out, I demandedthatwe come here to let you out. This moronic plan had nothing to do with me.”

“It’s okay,”Sofia replied, giving her friend a small smile.“If you don’tmind, I’m going to go and…um…put some clothes on.”

She swiftly disappeared into the bathroom, her cheeks on fire withembarrassment. Another reason why I wanted to kill Kai.

“We’ve got a meeting in thirty minutes, so get dressed.”Kai met my glare thesecond the bathroom door shut behind Sofia. His tone was cool, the one he used when he was discussing business and wasn’t going to take no for an answer.“The guards are outside; they’ll take Sofia and Riley home.”
