“Gods, you’re sexy.” There was no way I deserved an omega like Heston. None. But I sure as fuck was going to spend the rest of my life trying to be good enough for him.

“Show me how sexy you think I am. Give me your knot.”

“Anything for you.”

I put a pillow under his hips, and lined myself up with his entrance. Slowly I pushed into him, loving the look on his face as I gave him what he’d been waiting for. He started to move his hips before I was fully seated. My needy omega needed to be fucked and it was going to be my honor to give it to him.

I held his hips firmly, keeping them still as I thrust in and out of him, slowly at first. He didn’t let my hands hold him still for long. He cried out my name like a prayer as he met me thrust for thrust.

“Fuck… you feel like home.”

“I am home… your home, Devyn. Always.”

“Yes, always.” My orgasm was threatening to push through, but I refused to come before my mate exploded.

I didn’t need to wait long. He reached between us and barely touched his cock when his head fell back, cum shooting up his chest.

“Fill me, alpha!”

I pumped harder and faster, my cum filling his needy channel just as he pulled me to him, his teeth sinking into my shoulder as I gave myself over to my wolf, my teeth elongating seconds before they tore at his flesh. My beast wasn’t okay with just marking him. He wanted the scar to be unmistakable.

Any trepidation I had, any concern that I might’ve been too feral vanished as my mate instantly began to come again. I wasn’t sure how it was even possible, but as his cum shot out, his body quivered, and he cried out, “Mine.”

He was mine and I was his.

I somehow managed to get the covers around us with our bodies joined together by my knot. My mate’s eyes fluttered shut. There would be no sweet post-love making chatter tonight. No. My mate was exhausted.

He started to doze while I was fully seated in his ass.

“Sleep well, husband of mine. I love you.” I pressed a kiss to his forehead, and forced myself not to think about tomorrow and all that it would involve. Tonight was about my husband, my mate, my Heston.

Chapter 31

Big changes

Heston

While I wouldn’t advise anyone who’d won the lottery or been bequeathed money to make huge changes in their lives immediately, I did exactly that. Devyn and I now had enough money that I could go back to college and get my law degree.

Though I should have given two weeks’ notice at the coffee shop, given that I’d taken time off for dad’s recovery and I had been training a new barista, my boss thanked me for my years of hard work and I picked up my last paycheck.

And I found a replacement for my cleaning job in the evening. One of the guys I’d met while working at the café was saving for a mortgage deposit and was grateful for the extra work.

Dad would be coming home in the next day or so and I needed to be around to take him to the hospital for checkups, making sure he took his meds and ate well. Something I’d been doing while also working, though the eating well part was more “eating” based on our previous budget.

Now all of that had changed.

For the first time in I didn’t know how long, I felt positive about the future. Happy even. Giddy at the prospect of being married to and mated to the love of my life.

Devyn’s phone beeped. Thank gods it wasn’t mine. Every time I got a call or a message, I froze thinking Dad wasn’t doing well.

“It’s Father. He wants us at the office.”

My first thought was,Please tell me he’s not taking the money back. I hated how that had popped into my head. He’d paid for Dad’s surgery. That was enough but I’d been making plans for the future and the money he’d given us would enable those dreams to become reality.

I scolded myself. Dad was doing well and I was mated and married. The rest would fall into place even if I had to go back to the coffee shop. Dean had been moaning about losing staff so I could be his night manager and maybe study at the same time if I got a student loan. That might work.

Devyn studied my face. “He’s not going to demand we return the money.”
