His mouth crushed down onto hers. With sigh of “thank God”her world became him. The kiss was angry, raw, and soul searing as his tongue swept into her mouth over and over. It held a possessive edge as if he was staking his claim.
One of his hands came off the wall to gently touch her cheek, so at odds with the ferocity of his lips.
She melted into him.
“Tori,” he whispered in a raw tone. He kissed down her neck. Her need for him turned to desperation. He kissed her hard, tongue claiming her. His hands seemed to caress everywhere as if memorizing each contour of her body.
“Was a mistake. Gotta keep my shit together,” he mumbled.
Warning bells went off in her brain, but she was so mesmerized by his kisses that she lost interest in analysis of whatever he said.
Noah jerked back. Her eyes opened as she struggled for breath and equilibrium at his unexpected retreat.
He stumbled backward, putting several feet between them. “That didn’t happen. Can’t happen. We’re in the middle of a press luncheon. They’re going to realize you slept with me.”
As the fog cleared from her mind she stared up at him. “I didn’t sleep my way into selling my game. I amnotthat kind of person. You’re right. We are a mistake.”
His expression turned guarded. “That’s not what I said. Not what I meant.”
“Sure sounded like what you said. Forget it. Forget me and all this interpersonal bullshit.” She pivoted and stomped out of the room.
