She rolled to her side, staring at him.“Honest admission, your nipple ring works.Fucking sexy.Like, Isowant to put my mouth on it.”She waved at his chest.“The tattoo work on your lower stomach is…” She slapped a hand over her eyes.“So touchable I can’t look at it anymore or I will touch it.And if I do that, I can’t be held accountable for what else I do.”

He glanced down, realizing he only wore pants.“Touchable?”

“Please, put on a shirt and dial the sexy temptation down at least ten notches.”She nibbled her lower lip.“I don’t know if I’m in a coma having some sort of dream that the most beautiful man I’ve ever met is standing over me half naked with a hard-on or if this is real.”

“Vampire.Not a man.”

“Right.Vampire.Maybe if this is a coma dream, I should strip you down so I can see if what’s in your pants is as big as it looks and if you have any other piercings.”She eyed his crotch.“I said that out loud, didn’t I?”

A chuckle slipped out of him.

“I never talk like this. It’s your smolder or aura or whatever it is about you.Are you pierced in other areas?”She stared at his pants.

“Perhaps I’ll show you some day.”

“Oh, please.Maybe now?”She nibbled her lower lip again.“How do I know this is real and not a concussion-induced hallucination?I could be on the floor in my apartment.Or maybe I died. No, this is far too good for the afterlife.”

She thought this wasn’t real.He was on the edge of losing his battle to bite her, probably fuck her, and she dared laugh at this?He lowered his glamour to let the real beast inside peek through. His vision burned, which meant his eyes had gone red.He opened his mouth to expose his fangs as he leaned in over her.He slowly angled toward her neck.

At this point, most humans peed themselves or tried to run.

She didn’t cower.

With a heavy-lidded fascination that was the biggest turn of his life, she lifted a forefinger and touched one of his canines. The soft pressure shot sensation down his jaw, his neck, and set his balls throbbing.Who’s the scared one now?

“These are sharp but not razor sharp.I’m thinking they’d hurt going in.Wouldn’t you tear my neck with these? This is the part of vampire stories I never understood. Those teeth are huge.My neck isn’t that big.If you put both of those in my neck to drink my blood, you’d chew my neck off.”

“Who says I have to bite your neck? There are other areas …” He grinned a slow, suggestive grin.

“Really?”Her voice had turned husky with desire.

He yanked her beneath him and tore her shirt over her head. With a growl, he bit through whatever small lacy bits of cloth covered her breasts to suck one nipple into his mouth.

“Stop,” she wheezed out.“You win. It’s real.”

He rolled her nipple with his tongue. One small nip without piercing the skin…

“Please,” she begged.“Oh God, that’s good.”

He rocked away and stood. It took several seconds of focusing on a peaceful meditation to lower the haze in his head.

“Wait? You’re actually stopping?”She sat up, letting her heavy breasts spill in front of her.“I didn’t mean to push you away.I mean, you scared me with the biting thing, but we can keep going.”As her gaze dropped down his body her throat convulsed with a hard swallow.

He stalked over to his dresser, grabbing a shirt and a crystal on a chain. He threw the shirt at her.“Cover yourself.”

Once she was covered, he draped the crystal around her neck.“This is bloody fucking real.If we keep going, I’m going to do a hell of a lot more than drain your blood. When you wake up, the crystal will still be there to prove this is real.”

“You’re angry.”

“Yes.”

Wide-eyed, she stared at him but didn’t ask what made him angry, thank the gods.He wasn’t used to explaining anything to anyone, least of all a human who almost made him lose his bloody soul.

She fingered the crystal around her neck.“This is beautiful.Isn’t it one of your demon protection crystals that you don’t let anyone touch?I think you said that in episode two.”

What’s an episode? The random things she knew troubled him.Maybe she got short bursts of viewings into his life through the mirror, and that’s what she called them.

He detected a new presence in the keep, something dangerous.Someone unwelcome.
