“A week.” Eli smiles down at me. “That’s a lot of alone time.”
“It is. And I hope we can use it wisely.” I bite my lip, loving how his cheeks grow pink. “Like talk and...” I trail off, playing with the hairs at the back of his neck. “Get to know one another better.”
“Yeah,” he lets out with a stammering breath. “I’d like that.”
“And if other stuff happens, I wouldn’t say no.”
“Stuff?” He blinks down at me, licking his lips.
“Eli?”
“Yes.”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Anything.” His brows furrow.
“Will you be my boyfriend?”
“W-what?” His eyes widen.
“My boyfriend.” It’s so hard not to laugh right now. I’ve seemed to stun the poor guy into silence.
“You want me to be your boyfriend? Really?”
“I’d assume that's where this would have led to, eventually, seeing how we’re exploring feelings. But if it’s too soon, that’s–”
“Yes,” he rushes out. “Of course. Yes. A million times yes.”
Butterflies attack my stomach at his excitement, a smile so damn beautiful taking over his face.
But then it’s gone as soon as it appeared. “Wait...”
“What's wrong?” I ask, frowning.
He licks his lips, looking nervous. “I need to ask you something.”
“Of course. Anything. What’s wrong?”
“Were you texting Kai last night?”
“Yes.”
“Do you know where he was?” he asks, looking like he might puke.
Ahh. Now I know what’s going on.
“I do.” I smile softly, running my fingers through his hair, loving the way his eyes flutter shut at my touch. “He was at the club, watching you.”
His eyes snap open, flicking between mine. “So you know?”
“That he has feelings for you? Yes.”
“And you’re okay with it?”
“I am.” I nod.
“W-what about if... I... you know...”
