Looking out the door toward the beer pong table, the young man in question was staring at me while Brandon tried to take Emily’s drink away.

“He’s a good boy.”

Zach covered his heart with his hand. “Ouch. He would hate to hear that.”

Laughing at the idea of the twenty-one-year-old having designs on me, I ordered another beer. When I looked back at Zach, I caught him staring at Sasha at the end of the bar. With fiery red hair (a Mitchell family trait), big green eyes, and a full figure, Sarah’s cousin was a real looker.

I nudged him out of his trance by pretending to wipe his chin. “You got a little drool there.”

His cheeks darkened. “I—uh. I’m drunk?”

“And she’s hot. Want me to introduce you?”

A small crease formed on his forehead. “I don’t know. I don’t?—”

“I’m not suggesting you marry her. Just talk to her. Maybe you’ll get lucky.”

If he was even at fifty percent Zach charm, he was in. Sasha enjoyed people and enjoyed sex. Being a few years older than Sarah, Em, and me, she taught us everything we needed to know about the horizontal mambo. More importantly, she bought us all our first vibrators. My vagina and I owed a lot to that woman.

He let out a heavy breath. “Okay. Lead the way.”

As we approached Sasha, she leaned in and whispered something to Alex. Her face turned beet red, and she bolted.

“Still coming on too strong, Sash?”

When she turned around, her eyes lit up. “Celeste!” Shecrushed me to her ample chest in a tight hug before pushing me back and giving me the up and down. “Damn, you look amazing.”

The way she checked me out made me blush. There was no doubt she would devour me, and it was making me a little hot under the collar. “Uh, thanks.”

“Can I buy you a drink?” As I was about to say it was an open bar, Zach bumped into my arm. The look on his face was priceless.

“Oh, shit. Sasha, this is my friend Zach Cain, Michael’s best man.” Turning back to a semi-frozen Zach, I said, “Zach, this is Sasha Mitchell, Sarah’s cousin and one of the bridesmaids.”

Sasha extended her hand toward him. “Nice to meet you.”

Finally, Zach came back to life. Taking her hand, he pulled her off her stool and into his chest. Looking down at her, he smiled. “Same.”

Sasha slowly turned to me, one perfectly manicured eyebrow raised and a smirk on her lips. “Is he for real?”

Grinning, I nodded. “Have fun, you two.”

Before I even had a chance to walk away, Sasha was exploring Zach’s body. I wondered how long it would be until they christened the bathroom.

Sitting in a small booth alone, I looked around the room for my own Sasha, but no one struck my fancy. At least I had my battery-operated friend at home. I’d be okay.

As I finished the last of my beer, my cell rang. “Hello?”

“Celeste?”

“Uh, hold on a sec, I need to step outside.” Hustling through the crowd to the front door, I stepped into the balmy night. “Okay.”

“Hey, it’s me, Brian.”

“Oh, hey!” A couple of drunk partiers smoking on the curb waved at me before realizing I was on the phone.

“Did I catch you at a bad time?”

I walked around the corner to the quieter street. “Nah. I’m just at a bachelor/bachelorette party. What’s up?”
