I did take notes, though, for next time.

’Cause there would definitely be a next time.

“Oh god.” Her back arched hard, and she cried out to the roof.

I growled when I felt the walls of her pussy start to clench, and let go myself with a dull roar.

There was banging on the wall beside the bed, but neither one of us paid it any mind as we were swept away in our subsequent orgasms.

“Goddammit,” I hissed as it felt like my soul literally exited my body out of my cock. “So. Fucking. Good.”

She collapsed on top of me, and I continued to gently pulse into her before finally coming to a stop.

Our breathing was labored, and neither one of us said much at first.

Eventually, I had to pull out of her to deal with the condom.

Which I did, then came back to the bed to pull her back into my arms.

She was quiet until I said, “Are you okay?”

She hesitated, and I started to get a little worried before she admitted, “I’m trying to figure out if I’ll ever be able to have sex with another man after that.”

I didn’t realize I was squeezing her a little hard until she squeaked and said, “Can’t. Breathe.”

I loosened my hold, causing her to quietly giggle against my chest.

Then she sobered before saying, “I have to go in to work today. I was allowed off yesterday early, but I have to make up my day.”

I gently broached the subject of her taking the day off, and she admitted, “I can’t. I’m so sorry. I can’t. I would love to spend the day with you and help you through whatever you need with Knight and Elaine, but I can’t. I can’t afford it.”

I didn’t stop smoothing my hand up and down the length of her spine but said, “Why do you have to work so much, darlin’? What’s going on?”

I knew what was going on, but I wanted her to tell me.

“Where do I start?” she grumbled. “First off, I had a boatload of student loans. Going to UT isn’t cheap, and my parents were middle-class. They couldn’t afford to pay for my college, so I took out a ton of student loans. But back then, I was just thinking about getting through college. Didn’t work. Used my loans to pay for things I didn’t need. But as soon as I was graduated and getting my first real job, my brother, Romeo, was accused of attempted murder. Long story short, lawyer fees are astronomical, and Mom, Dad, and I all borrowed a lot of money to help pay his lawyer fees, and that didn’t go well. I stopped paying my student loans to start paying the other loans, and now I’m just so far over my head with loans and interest that I’m having a hard time keeping up.”

“Student loans are a scam,” I admitted.

Plus, she didn’t know it yet, but all her student loan debt was going to be wiped soon.

I’d make sure to do it in a way that it appeared they were paid off in full, however.

I’d already planned on fixing her credit.

Why not wipe away the loans, too?

As for her personal loans…well, those could be taken care of in other ways.

Lawyers were fucking sharks, and they took advantage of those in need sometimes when they shouldn’t.

I’d have to go back into the lawyer’s notes to see if he was worthy of being paid back. I knew the loans were through the law firm itself—what a racket they had going on.

“Don’t businesses sometimes pay back student loans?” I asked.

“I tried that,” she admitted. “They normally would, but my interest is over the top.”

Well, that was a good way to cover the story up on how her debts got paid.
