“I think I havesomeidea,” she murmurs against my neck. “I mean, you have areallygreat showerhead. Plus, having your dick on demand isn’t so bad either.”

I lift her off the ground, laughing. “What’s mine is yours, baby.”

She grins, eyes sparkling.“Flying to Tahoe that weekend is the second-best decision I’ve ever made.”

I lift a brow. “What’s the first?”

Rosie smiles. “Taking a chance on us.”

And as I kiss her again, the twinkling Los Angeles skyline serving as our backdrop, I echo the sentiment in my mind. It may have taken us fifteen years to get here, but with the way everything’s worked out, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. What matters most is the incredible woman in my arms is right where she belongs.

With me.

Forever.

EPILOGUE

ROSALIE

Fat snowflakes fallfrom the night sky, coating the deck in a fresh layer of powder as Logan and I step outside. The cold air nips at my skin, but I’m too distracted by the incredible view before me to care. The moon is full, reflecting on the still water below. In the distance, fireworks launch into the sky from one of the ski resorts, exploding in an array of colors as Lake Tahoe rings in the new year.

Logan wraps his arms around me, pulling me into his warmth as we watch the show. “Happy New Year, Rosie.”

I sigh. “Happy New Year.”

“Big things on the horizon. You ready to take on the new job when we get back?”

“I am.” I nod against his chest. “I’m excited to get started.”

Jett Ashford’s rebranding campaign went better than any of us expected. After that, Avery started pulling me into meetings with other clients who were struggling with their image. A few weeks ago, she told me Maxwell & Company was opening a new Brand Strategist position and asked if I’d be interested in filling it.

“I’m proud of you,” Logan murmurs, rubbing slow circles on my back. “You just keep kicking ass and taking names.”

I smile. “Damn right I do.”

He pulls back just enough to meet my eyes. “Hey, do you know what today is?”

I frown. “Is that a trick question?”

He chuckles, pressing a kiss to my forehead. “No. Obviously, you know the date on the calendar. But there’s another reason this particular day is special.”

I think about it for a moment, completely stumped.

“I’ve got nothin’.”

Logan’s lips quirk. “Exactly ten years ago today, at almost this exact time, I finally had the nerve to kiss the girl of my dreams for the first time. It was a kiss I’ll never forget.”

I grin, thinking about that night. I hadn’t made the connection until now that it’s sort of an anniversary of ours.

“Is it because that’s the first time you felt my boobs?”

“Well, yes, that too.” He laughs. “But more so because before your brother interrupted us, I remember thinking to myself that I’d be perfectly happy kissing your lips for the rest of my life. And now…” He lowers himself to one knee.

My breath catches as my brain pieces everything together. “Logan…”

He gives me a crooked smile as he opens his palm, revealing a ring box with a delicate oval-cut solitaire set in a thin gold band that catches the moonlight.

“Rosalie Elena Morales, I have loved you for so long, I honestly don’t remember what it feels like to not love you. But over the last ten months, that love has grown into something so monumental, most days, it feels like my chest is going to burst because you make my heart so full. You are my best friend, my living dream, myentire world. And if you’ll do me the honor, I will spend the rest of my life proving it to you.”
