“I wore it for you,” I whisper to my own surprise.

He freezes. “For me?”

“I wanted you to want me the way I want you.”

“Well, hell, Kensi. You did that the moment you arrived here. I’ve been resisting you ever since. It was only a matter of time before I caved. You’re the one for me. The only one.”

It’s more than I could have hoped for. He’s more. And now that I finally have him in a way I had only ever dreamed, I’m scared. What if I don’t perform as well as he’s used to? What if I’m lame in bed?Ugh.I don’t want to think these things. Not now.

To stop my thoughts from spiraling, I lift my chin and kiss him. With these heels on, we’re almost the same height. I use it to my advantage, securing myself to him as I hug his neck.

Nathan’s tongue slips between my lips and like that, we’re in sync. God, I could kiss him forever. With his hands all over my body and his mouth connected to mine, his tongue taunting and teasing me, I’m in heaven.

His hands find my waist, and he pulls me flush to his body. His erection presses into me. “See how much I want you,” he mumbles as he trails kisses across my jawline and down my neck.

My heart drums fast and hard in my chest. My knees feel weak. “Nathan?” I sigh and arch my back to give him better access. “Go slow. Okay? I want to remember everything about this.”In case it doesn’t last.Shut up, brain!

“I’ll do whatever you want and nothing you don’t want.” He kisses my lips and holds my gaze, his fingers combing back my hair. “I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anyone, but we don’t have to have sex if you’re not ready.” His brows pull together. “Are you still a virgin?”

I frown and lower my gaze. “No.”

“Me, neither,” he murmurs, a grin in his voice.

I glance up to a smirk on his face. Laughter tumbles from me, and I fall against his hard body. This is the Nathan I know and love.

He chuckles and scoops me up, cradling me in his arms.

I squeal and giggle. “What are you doing?”

“Putting you on a bed where you belong.” He carries me out of the closet and through the bathroom to the bedroom.

“I thought you wanted me in the closet.” He told me to stay put when he got my purse.

“I do. I want you in every room, but I’m taking it slow and a bed is much more comfortable for that.”

My heart warms and I fall even harder for him. I kiss his cheek and then his neck, before giving it a light lick.

He trips but rights himself, keeping me steady in his arms. “Holy shit. You surprise me, Kensi.” We reach the bed, but he doesn’t set me down yet.

“How? I know I’m not the first girl to lick your neck.”

“I just don’t expect it from you. I don’t know what to expect, ever. It’s thrilling, and no girl has ever thrilled me before.”

I roll my eyes, finding it hard to believe.

“I’m serious.” He sets me on the bed so that I’m on my knees, facing him, and hooks his arms around my back. “Being with you is uncharted territory for me. I sleep with girls, I don’t date.” At my arched eyebrow, he adds, “Harper is—was—fun, but we weren’t a serious couple. With you, it will only be that.”

I melt for him even more. How is it possible? “Have you always been so romantic?”

“I’m not romantic.” He tucks my hair behind my ear, unaware of the sweetness of the action.

“You are, Nathan.” I run my fingers through the back of his hair and lean into him.

“You must bring it out in me.”

His lips seal over mine and again I’m lost in a sensual rhythm that is ours alone. True to his word, he keeps it slow. Kissing me, caressing my body, licking my skin, and triggering a dozen tiny fires in my belly.

His hands round the curve of my backside again, so gently I almost jump out of my skin. A thousand flutters and tingles erupt inside my body.
