“What the hell is that?”

I shrug and open the box to the full screen. “Oh, it’s just a message request.”

“From who?” he asks, bewildered.

“How am I supposed to know?” Opening the dialogue box, I see his name.

Dom: Hello, Dear. You are a very beautiful woman.

“His name is Dom? Are you fucking kidding me?” Loki grabs the computer and starts typing.

“Hey? What are you doing? You can’t respond to these guys. This isn’t a joke. Just ignore them and report it to Facebook. What are you writing?”

Loki doesn’t answer. He just continues to type, erase, and retype over my questions.

“Loki? Honestly, this is my livelihood. You have to be careful with how you respond to this stuff.”

His hardened gaze lifts to mine.

Shit. Now he looks pissed. Circling the table, I stand behind him to see what he is typing.

Dom: Hello. You are a very beautiful woman.

Sloane: Thank you. My husband thinks so.

Dom: Ah, you’re married?

Sloane: Yes.

Dom: …

“Seriously, Loki. Just end the chat.”

Dom: Are you happily married?

“Happily married? What the fuck kind of question is that? Is he kidding me right now?” Loki barks. Hunching over the laptop, he types and erases a response.

“They’re scum bags, Loki. This is why you can’t interact with them.”

Sloane: Yes.

Dom: I bet I could change your mind.

“That slimy piece of shit.”

Sloane: Thank you, but I’m very happily married.

“You have to be kidding me? Loki, what are you doing? Do you realize that you’re rage typing to a crazy man you’ve never even met?”

Loki glances up. “I’m not rage typing.”

“Yeah, you kinda are,” I giggle.

He ignores me and goes back into my profile. Once he finds the settings, he changes my status to married.

“Hey? You can’t just make me a married woman.”

“I just did.”
