“Jesus, you big oaf. I don’t need you coming to my rescue. I save myself, East. I fucking save myself from now on,” Lexi snaps.

She’s about to storm off when Colt comes back with our drinks. He assesses the situation in half a second.

“You’d be smart to walk away, man, before my brother or our girl tears you to shreds. And I’ll be honest … my money’s on our girl.”

With Colton and I standing shoulder to shoulder, the sleazeball backs away, mumbling under his breath.

“Easton, what the actual fuck?”

Colt interrupts by handing her a fish bowl sized drink.

“Time out, Lexi-con. Take a drink. I just made a bet at the bar, so you and East are going to have to put aside your differences for a few minutes.”

“What the hell did you get us into now, Colt?” Usually, I want no part in any of his chaos, but if it means Lexi will stop scowling at me, I’m game.

“We’re playing chicken in the pool. I made friends with a cute, little lady at the bar. It will be us four against the two dingle dicks that were trying to pick her up. You can’t say no because I bet two grand we would win.”

“Two thousand dollars, Colt?” Lexi’s screech echoes across the pool, causing more than a few heads to turn. “What the hell happened to my poor, twenty-something, normal guy?”

“I’m still normal, Lexi-con, but sometimes you have to put your money where your mouth is. And, I want my mouth on that girl, so you have to do this. It’s in the wingman code.”

She mumbles something under her breath, then finally stands. With her hands on her hips, and every inch of skin on display, she stares me down.

“Fine. But I’m warning you now, East, I don’t lose. So, you better be ready for this.”

Lexi? On my shoulders, in nothing but a teeny, tiny bikini? Perhaps there is a God after all.

Stepping into her space, I lower my face until we are just inches apart. “I’m all in with you, Locket.”

There are so many meanings in that sentence. But for now, I grab Lexi’s hand, drag her to the edge of the pool, and jump into the deep end.

Chapter 19

Lexi

Why in God’s name did I let Colton talk me into this? Avoiding Easton is hard enough, but sitting atop his shoulders in a pool with his hands roaming my body, holding me upright, is like setting fire to every nerve ending in my body.

We won the first two rounds easily, and while I think Colton’s conquest is a floozy, they’re at least holding their own in this battle.

“You ready, Lex? Last round,” East calls up to me. Every time he tilts his head back to talk to me, his skull presses against my clit. It’s blissful torture.

“Let’s end them,” I reply, with a giant smile on my face. I’ve always been competitive, but I haven’t won at anything in a really long time. In some weird way, I need this.

Tucking my legs behind his back, Easton runs his hands up my thighs, holding me steady while he moves closer to our opponents. The girl across from me appears to have had a few drinks, but she’s as determined as I am.

When we start grappling, I’m impressed with Easton’s ability to keep us steady.

“Your girl’s tits are hot. Too bad her top doesn’t hold them in.”

Glancing down, I realize the guy is just talking smack to make East lose his concentration, and it works. His grip on my left thigh loosens, and I start to spin.

“East! He’s fucking with you. My tits are just fine. Concentrate.”

“They look to be the perfect handful. What do you say, man? Want to trade for a bit?”

I feel Easton growl as he cranes his neck to get a look at me. When he does, my body slides, and he has to twist me completely, so we don’t fall. Now his face is buried between my legs with nowhere to go.

Glancing down, I’m horrified to see his grin. Our competition comes forward, causing me to lean into Easton to shove her back. My crotch is hidden from view by Easton’s face, but every time I lean forward, I feel his hot breath through my suit.
