I don’t remember a time when I’ve ever had so much fun with a group of near strangers.Another gift Colton has given me. It’s a sobering thought. He gives so freely. What could I possibly offer him?

I don’t get time to think about it for long because Julia hits a button on the remote in her hand and “Gimme More” by Britney Spears blasts much louder than before. “We’re the Westbrooks, bitch,” everyone in the room screams over the song’s intro and before I know it, we’re all bouncing around the room, singing at the top of our lungs.

CHAPTER31

COLTON

“Hey, sleepyhead. Your friends are here for brunch. Did you forget you invited them over?” My tone is teasing, but I can’t help messing with her a little.

Drunk Winnie is a blast. She came in so bubbly and carefree; I vow to make her that way every day of our lives, but without so much wine.

“Nooo,” she groans, dragging a pillow over her head so I lay on my side next to her.

“They’re all in the family room waiting for you.”

She rips the pillow off her head. Her lips are still purple from her wine, and her eyes are bloodshot. I fucking love this girl more than should be legal. I can’t keep the smile off my face if I tried.

“Are you serious?” Her voice cracks, so I reach over her for the bottle of water I placed next to her last night.

Holding it out to her, I chuckle when she sits up. The girls had some sort of makeover party, and Winnie’s hair has no less than twelve elastics with small ponytails poking out of her head in every direction. “Oh, I’m serious, sweetheart. Do you remember inviting them over?”

She shakes her head and instantly regrets it. “Vaguely. Colt, I don’t think I can cook without tossing my cookies.”

I cradle her face and lean in for a gentle kiss. “It’s a good thing you told me about it last night, then. All your friends are accompanied by their husbands, who made, bought, or begged for all the food. They’re setting it up in the kitchen while the ladies lounge in the family room looking a hell of a lot like you do.”

“At least I’m not alone,” she grumbles.

“Come on, up we go.” I pull away the blankets, and my dick responds like it was shot out of a rocket. She’s naked except for a tiny scrap of material between her legs. “Fucking hell, you’re gorgeous. I’m definitely taking you up on your request as soon as Weston is in bed tonight?”

“My request?” she asks, rubbing her temples as I grab her a bra because my brothers are here, a T-shirt, and her leggings from last night.

I allow my fingers to trail her skin just beside her breast as I slip the sports bra over her head. Then I do the same with the T-shirt. “Oh yes. You were very insistent on licking me like a lollipop last night, but I told you we had to wait until you were a little more sober.”

“You turned me down?” I’ve shocked her.

“I did. And your resulting pout nearly broke me, but I know all about consent, my dear fiancée. And you could not give it with a clear head, so we’ll revisit this tonight.” I lean in to growl into her ear, “And then I’m going to fuck you fast and hard. Just like you begged for last night.”

“Oh God. How do I not remember that?”

“By the looks of the empty bottle of wine you walked in with last night, I’d say the Malbec got the better of you.”

After sliding her leggings up her smooth skin, I help her stand and pull them the rest of the way up before dragging her behind me.

“I rarely drink that much,” she whispers.

“Yeah, well, girls’ night is a special occasion. So, you’re lucky it doesn’t happen as often as they’d like.”

We stop just behind the sofa, and I watch Winnie’s reaction as she takes in all my sisters-in-law. Each with varying degrees of hairstyles and smudged makeup, except for Rylan. She dodged the wine hangover thanks to the growing baby in her belly.

Winnie slowly lifts a hand to her head and gasps.

“Oh, geez! We did makeovers.”

“Shhh,” comes a collective hiss.

“Winnie, get over here so I can lean on you,” Julia barks.

Very slowly, Winnie makes her way around the sofa and sits next to Julia. As soon as her head leans back, Julia collapses, placing her head in Winnie’s lap.
