“I need you on my cock,” Jake groans, his voice hoarse. His hands draw her up towards his face. His kiss is searing, desperate.
Natalie groans against his lips, his desperation coursing through her. She crawls forward and plants her knees on either side of his waist, careful to avoid his ribs.
“Baby, I don’t have any condoms,” Jake murmurs against her lips. “They weren’t exactly giving them out at the hospital.”
“I have an IUD,” Natalie says, breathless. “And I’m clean. I?—”
She pauses. “It’s been a while for me.”
“Ditto. And I’m clean, I get a full medical every year.”
She reaches between them, her hand wrapping around his length, her thumb brushing against the sensitive tip. She slides his flared head over her slick folds, and he groans, his head falling back, his eyes closed.
“Nat,” he murmurs, his voice a low growl. “You’re killing me.”
A mischievous grin tugs at the corners of her mouth. “Then die happy,” she retorts, her fingers tightening as she nudges him into her entrance. She sinks down slowly, allowing herself to adjust to his size. Their eyes lock together, their chests heaving with anticipation as she sinks a little lower.
“Jake,” she gasps. Her legs are shaking as if she had run a mile. She can feel him, every inch of him, and she wants more. She needs more. She needs him.
With a cry, Natalie impales herself on him fully, her body welcoming him, her warmth gripping him. Leaning forward, shebegins to move, a slow, steady rhythm, his body pressing against hers, his hands grabbing her hips.
He looks into her eyes, his gaze intense, his expression serious. “You’re mine, Nat. I won’t leave you. I won’t let you go. Ever.”
Natalie’s heart swells, her body arching, her eyes never leaving his. She believes him. In that moment, as their bodies move in sync, as their hearts beat as one, she believes him. She trusts him. She trusts them.
Jake urges her forward for a kiss and wraps his arms around her, growling. Cradling her head with his large, calloused hands, he rolls them so that her breasts press against his carved chest, and her legs wrap around his waist.
And then he thrusts into her—hard, no buildup, just the full stretch of him claiming her in one breathless, brutal push.
Natalie cries out, a scream tearing from her throat, not from pain, but from the sheer shock of it, from how completely he fills her, how perfectly their bodies fit together.
Jake curses against her throat, teeth scraping her skin. “You feel so fucking good,” he rasps, his voice broken, shaking. “So tight… so mine.”
He pounds into her, his fingers digging into her hair. They fit together seamlessly, their bodies interlocked as one. The heat of the fire is nothing compared to the heat that courses between them as Jake’s hips buck against hers in a rhythm that is theirs alone. Natalie matches him thrust for thrust, her nails digging into his back, her moans of pleasure filling the air as her legs coil around his hips.
He buries his face in her neck, pressing a kiss to her temple that’s startlingly tender compared to the brutal rhythm of his hips. His arms curl tighter around her, caging her to him completely.
“I won’t let anything come between us,” he pants, voice hoarse and wrecked. “Not hockey. Not fear. Nothing.”
He groans and drives into her harder, his fingers fisting in her hair as he pants into her neck.
She clings to him, thighs tightening, back arching, meeting every punishing thrust. Her nails rake down his back, leaving streaks he’llfeel tomorrow, but she doesn’t care. She wants to mark him. To keep him.
Her climax builds, every muscle drawing tight around him like a wave pulling taught before it breaks.
“Natalie,” he whispers, his voice hoarse with need. “Come with me, baby.”
Jake reaches between them and lays two fingers to stroke her center. Natalie arches her back as pleasure rocks through her core. She cries his name as she crashes through the waves of bliss, her eyes jolted shut. Jake drives one last brutal thrust into her, and with a moan, she feels him spilling inside her, shuddering.
They collapse together, bodies slick with sweat, chests rising and falling in unsteady rhythm.
For a long moment, they just lie there, panting, glowing in the firelight, the heat of their release still pulsing in the space between them. He gathers her to his side, and she melts against him, their breath slowing in time with the crackle of the fire and the low, mournful howl of the wind outside.
Jake presses a soft kiss to her temple, holding her close. In that moment, there is no uncertainty, no wariness. There are only the two of them, lost in each other, sheltered from the storm.
